If you ever really wanted to understand what the Founders faced and felt, watch our live debate at the Continental Congress 2009.  Not that we, as a body, could ever replace what the original Founders created, nor really can we equate ourselves with them,  but surely the questions we face in the room are those that arose then too…

You can imagine–’life, liberty, and property’; the terms used for every concept; listening for divine providence, listening to each other; hoping for grace, humility, forgiveness, love, and understanding.

I ask for your prayers, thoughts, energies, well-wishes, and blessings for this day at the Continental Congress 2009, as we craft our first steps to overcome the tyranny that has replaced liberty…on our lands, in our government, sometimes in our hearts which imprisons our minds.  Help us find the liberty we all seek.

Up All Night, for Days…

The Continental Congress 2009 debated until 1:30 this morning, and as I write this, the first time I’ve had a chance to sleep I’m still up.

We have all been working all night long…take a stroll in the hotel at 3 am and you see assembled delegates and laptops, books, intense discussion, and the whirring printer.

I have an exciting report for you covering many topics, and I can say that the assembly of delegates, debates, subjects, and voting  have been extremely interesting.  But the report will not come this morning, as we have another day of debate, decisions, and begin to craft our Articles of Association.

George Washington’s Farewell Address to the American People

Note: I am reposting this address as it was the topic of the Continental Congress 2009 discussion today.  Delegate after delegate were stunned to hear this address, as it seems Washington was predicting the calamity that has befallen the United States now.

In continued celebration of Constitution Day, September 17,  a focus on President George Washington’s Farewell Address to the American People seems both appropriate and timely.

Washington had stunned his colleagues by refusing to stand as a candidate for President as the United States prepared for its second Presidential election, explaining why it was necessary for him personally and for the growth of the young country. The spirit of liberty and the administration of a government based on these principles deeply motivated Washington:

The Last Legal War

The War Powers clause of the Constitution dictates that Congress, and Congress alone, shall have the power to declare war.  For it is the gravest decision a nation can ever make, and the Founders were fearful to place this power in the hands of an Executive.   By August of 1787, the entire Congress knew that the Constitution governs war; and that Congress would be the ultimate decision-maker in the decision to go to war.  Once in war, the Commander in Chief is indeed expected to properly prosecute and manage the war.

But for the last 50 years, unilateral presidential action has been taken to declare war, and the Congress has abdicated its responsibility to do so.  Both the Executive and the Legislative branch of government have violated the Constitution.

So the last legally-declared war was World War II, and even then we have a historical concern of the actual circumstances under which the United States joined World War II.

Setting the Stage: Constitutional Violations

One of the purposes of the Continental Congress is to document the violations of the Constitution as a record for the American people, the States, and the Congress.  While we settle into discussion of issues as a ‘Committee of the Whole’ and as the “Continental Congress”, we are presented with, each morning and afternoon, an instructional session from various experts.  As we break into committees, we work late into the night…coffee all around after the bar got too roudy! 

A report on the violations of the Second Amendment was interspersed with a series of very fine videos, which I offer here for your review.  The first set of films, “No Guns for Negroes”, exposes the racial origin of gun control.  Frankly, I never knew this!   The second film is called “2A, Good for the USA”, explaining why the Second Amendment is so vital to our security and liberty as a people.

Oh beautiful, for spacious skies...

I left my home in Wyoming’s western mountains at 10 pm on Tuesday night…drove through the  clear, star-studded night- with night owls, bison, white jack rabbits trying to hide in the snow, and elk gracing my journey…the night is when the big game come out.  The 10,000 foot pass was as quiet as it could be, save the sounds of the forest alive at night.  I have always felt, driving through the woods at night, that I was passing through someone’s ‘living room’….and it is true that I am.

Crossing the border into Nebraska, I was greeted at sunrise with miles and miles of wheat  fields and a clear, cloudless sky.  I loaded the book in my cd player, “The 5000 Year Leap: The 28 Great Ideas that Changed the World”. Although any book on tape is necessary when driving in Nebraska to keep oneself awake, this was a particularly poignant book to listen to this delegate traveled to the Continental Congress 2009.

While the sun was rising as I drove, the words I listened to asked a question: would Ben Franklin see our nation today as a rising sun, which he thought in 1787, or would he see a nation in decline, and therefore a setting sun?

Oh, and Congress, I’ve known about my citizenship since I was very young, and I bet you have known about yours since then too.)

The President’s Disability under the 25th Amendment-Update

Update:  I am reposting this article in response to the following activities of Barack Hussein Obama, which reveal not only what I consider to be profound disloyalty to the United States, but disability by reason of mental defect:

• Failure to exhibit any empathy at all with soldiers killed in the worst terrorist event since 911 inside the United States;
• Evidence that the accused killer was a member of Barack Hussein Obama’s transition team and that special privilege may have led to the inability of base Commanders to remove Hasan;
• Apparent evidence of sickness;
• Continued failure to prove his citizenship and eligibility for the office of the Presidency.

Of course I believe he is committing treason as I write this and already has.  But this  mayalso be stopped if he is constitutionally removed by disability as a result of mental defect and continued failure to prove his citizenship.

Obama, what are you afraid of?

When  you go to such lengths to cover up $30 worth of background records–i.e., a birth certificate, passport, copy of civil service registration, etc.–as Obama has, there is something to hide.

And, if Obama can’t show such a basic document as his birth certificate and who his parents are, how can anyone expect him to protect the United States?

Oh and Gibby boy? Don’t evah tell me Obama is too busy dealing with more important issues than to address such a silly thing as his actual identity. 

So lets go over this again.

The idea of ’sleeper cells’ emerging at ‘appropriate’ times to perform heinous acts is a well known revolutionary tactic, and  is not new to readers of this blog.

In the post How to Brainwash a Nation, two videos were presented which spoke about the communist plan to infiltrate America, with the emergence of the ’sleepers’ at appropriate time to perform a function–usually to disrupt, agitate, and yes, sometimes to commit seemingly ‘random’ acts of violence.

Lt. Col. Allen West (Ret) called  the tragedy at Fort Hood evidence that  “the enemy is infiltrating our military.”

Baxter Int’l and Ukraine Pneumonic Plague? [Update]

So while we have been focusing on the swine flu and its vaccines and the rush to jam health care ‘reform’ down our throats, a major plague outbreak in the Ukraine is killing people right and left.  Baxter International is suspected of involvement in the spread of this deadly infection through its vaccines.  There is some history accompanying Baxter that makes this accusation plausible–they have had ‘accidents’ before.

In February 2009, Bloomberg reported that Baxter (Austria) had

‘unintentionally’ contaminated samples with the bird flu virus that were used in laboratories in three neighboring countries, raising concern about the potential spread of the deadly disease.

The contamination was discovered when ferrets at a laboratory in the Czech Republic died after being inoculated with vaccine made from the samples early this month. The material came from Deerfield, Illinois-based Baxter, which reported the incident to the Austrian Ministry of Health, Sigrid Rosenberger, a ministry spokeswoman, said today in a telephone interview.

“This was infected with a bird flu virus,” Rosenberger said. “There were some people from the company who handled it.”

Seeds of Sovereignty: The Seventh Amendment

The Seventh Amendment to the U.S. Constitution may be one of the most important Amendments to the Constitution, as it seems to this author to empower the people to enforce the Constitution, including the Bill of Rights, without re-examination by a Court of the United States:

In Suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise re-examined in any Court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.

The people may form a Grand Jury, deliver a presentment or indictment, and no fact tried by this Grand Jury can be reexamined in a ‘Court of the United States’.  Let that sink in, Patriots.

Check the Fully Informed Grand Jury Association for background information and day-to-day actions available to citizens in exercising their Seventh Amendment rights. And  this site has excellent information on this subject. As with all the components of the Bill of Rights, we must exercise those rights to preserve them.

Article II: The Tyranny of Multiple Allegiances

Anyone who has been seriously following the Natural Born Citizenship issue in this last year and a half is by now familiar with the influence of John Jay on the requirements of the President as stated in Article II, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution.  Use of the term in 1787 implies some knowledge of its meaning, indeed, see the Law of Nations by Vattel.

There are many fine blogs which have researched and defined the term and significance of  ‘NBC’, and the consensus among all of them is that the concept of natural born citizenship is about allegiance. The Commander in Chief must have only one allegiance–to the United States–to prevent foreign influence on and within the highest office in the land.

Congratulations to the citizens of New Jersey, Virginia, New York, and California for launching another shot over the bow of the ship of fools–Obama and his democrats. And for sending a very LOUD message to Washington D.C.:  NO, YOU CAN’T.

LOL, the White House says Obama wasn’t watching the elections. 

While the White House will not comment, or will deny this election has any significance, this is their first big electoral loss since last November.  The tax day tea parties and the 912 marchers delivered the first big blows. They ignored us, then they ridiculed us, and they’ve been fighting us with health scare, spending, Afghanistan, by apologizing for us, by running roughshod over their constituents.  And then we won…

Fall has changed to winter here seemingly overnight, as I gather all the gloves, scarves, and hats I can find to break the whistling wind.  I look out the window, through the gray now November sky…our flag is still there…in fact, I see more and more American flags every day.  Storefronts, automobiles, pins, hats, and patches on jackets.  Americans, hanging on, getting ready.

The Mudville Gazette has the story, and a screenshot. The New York Times originally posted this article reporting on the President’s midnight trip to Dover AFB with a crowd of photographers:

The images and the sentiment of the president’s five-hour trip to Delaware were intended by the White House to convey to the nation that Mr. Obama was not making his Afghanistan decision lightly or in haste….the event was a photo-op exploitation…’

Barack Obama has had  General McCrystal’s report and request for more troops on his desk since August, 2009.  It is approaching November.

Meanwhile,  eight U.S. soldiers were  killed on 10/27/09,  driving the U.S. death toll to a record level for the third time in four months.   Fifty-five U.S. soldiers were killed in October; fifty-one in August.

Obama declared Afghanistan a ‘war of necessity‘, the ‘right war’, and ordered 20,000 more troops to the battlefront.  That decision was supposedly the outcome of his own review of strategy.

Go Tell it to the Marines

All men are created equal, is not simply misunderstood words in our Declaration of Independence, used to push new and bigger social programs that have nothing to do with equality. It is a truth that we as Americans hold dear, but the greater truth of these words is in their application. All people are created equal, but the greater truth is what they do between birth and death that not only defines a person but in the end determines their value to posterity. It is true for average people as it is such in the case of federal justices.

When one looks at two judges David Carter and Jerome Simandle in the Obama eligibility trials it is easy to see vast differences in them once you look past the black robes, even though they are equal in stature in the blind eyes of the law.   In 1967 David Carter had just graduated UCLA, and instead of continuing his education or applying for a commission in any of the armed services, a young David chose to be one of the few and the proud and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. As a recipient of the Bronze Star and Purple Heart and a veteran of the battle of Khe Sahn, he left the Marines not as a private but with the coveted Mameluke sword, who’s origins go back to Lieutenant O’Bannon and the shores of Tripoli.

Prelude to a Punch

This post is the prelude to my final letter which goes to the House and Senate leadership.  I plan to distribute this letter, with copies of Speaker Pelosi’s letter, as widely as possible, and to submit them to a major newspaper as a paid advertisement.

In the last couple of weeks, I have deliberately posted articles from Africa that embrace Obama as a native of Kenya as early as 2004, photographs of “Obama, Sr.”, most of which were apparently photoshopped, and various other ‘tidbits’ of information that once again expose Obama as a fraud with a socialist agenda.

One intent was to catch the obots off-guard with information they thought they had defeated, while they were busy (and stupidly) gloating about the eligibility case dismissals.  Mission accomplished.

In a Rasmussen Poll reported on the Kick Them All Out Project,

• 57% of all voters would like to replace the entire Congress and start over.
• 70% of unaffiliated voters would replace the entire Congress
• 69% of GOP voters believe the party is out of touch with constituents
• 74%  of all voters trust their own economic judgment more than Congress’

…and on a ‘brighter side’,  the Poll reports that:

• Only 37% say that most in Congress are have extra-marital affairs

U.N. Launches Investigation of Human Rights Violations in the United States

In yet another example of the deliberate disintegration of American sovereignty, the Executive has opened the door for  a United Nations (UN)  “Special Rapporteur” to probe–for the first time ever– human rights violations by the United States regarding affordable public housing in urban areas.

The perception that drives the investigation is  first, that housing is a human right, and second, that there isn’t enough affordable public housing in urban areas in the United States. I disagree with the first premise in that it is not in our constitution, but agree with the second.  However, I doubt that a UN person who has never lived here will understand the complexity of this issue in the United States.

The Special Rapporteur  Raquel Rolnick has been appointed by,  and is under a special mandate from the UN Human Rights Council , the successor to the UN Commission on Human Rights.   As part of her ‘fact finding’ mission, she will visit New York City, Chicago, New Orleans, Los Angeles, Washington, the Pine Ridge Indian reservation in South Dakota, and Wilkes-Barre, Pa.

UN Special Rapporteurs can only visit countries that have agreed to invite them.

So I wonder if junior has even seen these photos?  Many have commented that there is no resemblance in these photographs…so let’s put them out there and see if anyone else notices they don’t look alike!

I long ago lost interest in analyzing ‘Dreams of My Father‘ as it seemed to me to be contrived, full of unfinished thoughts and events,  and too different than the Barack Obama I had grown to suspect, rather than respect.  And even in Dreams, he never really describes who his father is, rather  he ‘makes him up’.  His strategy was to dazzle people with some story that pushes only emotional and guilt buttons, so  they would ignore the fact that his father was a British citizen, and therefore, so was he.  But you know, things have a way of catching up.

In 2008, a blogger uncovered a long-lost article by Barack Obama, Sr., called “Problems Facing our Socialism”, which was published in the East Africa Journal. From Politico:
