And the Nobel Peace Prize Goes to: Obama the Charlatan!!!!

Cheapen:

The Nobel Peace Prize has been forever tainted with the silly, uniformed, and obtuse decision to award this prize to Obama the Charlatan, the one who has done nothing in his life but lie. Were they drinking koolaid?

Perhaps they were giving him an award for telling so many lies he can’t keep track of them? Or perhaps it is his disgusting performance in calling everyone racists? Or maybe its because of his disrespectful, clueless wife?  Or maybe because he is apologizing for America and bowing and scraping to the world’s dictators?

To all the other real Nobel Peace Prize winners–those who have spent their lives in a cause,  my  apologies for this uniformed, unwise decision.

Obama is a fool.  The Nobel Peace Prize committee isn’t too far behind.

Kate, as always, our thoughts resonate at the same vibrastional level. Those were my exact thoughts when I learned of this latest obscenity.

However, it is always better to know one’s opponent[s] and this craven act clarifies any confusion one might once have held on the matter. Indeed, we are already facing a large, powerful, World Order. The good news is, however, that they do NOT KNOW AMERICANS. They have forgotten, or perhaps never really paid attention to the last War for Independence.

I have not taken the Nobel Prize seriously since it was awarded to the terrorist Yassah Arafat.

It has become a political prize, rather than a peace prize.

    • 4 Jan October 10, 2009 at 7:47 am

That was the first thing I thought of when I heard this- they gave it to Arafat. Why would anyone with any integrity want it?

How does a clueless dude from Indonesia, who’s involved in 2 wars get the nobel peace prize? Anyone?
Now the news is saying “it’s the last thing he needs” More propaganda and playing it down. They claim obama was surprised..what a crock…his wife prolly threatened the committe to give it to him. It’s purely political and not humanitarian. God help this country. We can’t continue on with this evil circus for 3 more years.

Huff Poop is coming apart at the seams over this..”gasping in disbelief” “doesn’t think he deserves it” Pretty much the gerneral concensus.

Since it hasn’t been mentioned yet, the deadline for nomination of this prize was 12 days after the shamfest “inauguration” in January. Yes, that’s 12 whole days. Obviously the Nobel committee were mainlining the kool-aid and probably thought they were giving it to him for “winning” the election.

Seriously though, I’ve always admired the Nobel committee for their fine work all these years in giving awards to very deserving folks. However, they lost my respect completely several years ago when they gave this award to former IL Governer George Ryan for commuting the sentences of all inmates on death row to life imprisonment. All he was doing was trying to stay out of prison and look how well that turned out!

As far as I am concerned the Nobel committee has sunk lower than a snake under a rock. Who are they anyway? Builderbergers and Pilgrims, I presume. The Dame is right. This is further proof that we are up against some elites who are aiming to make us part a world order. God help us. Do they mean to make him king of it after all? We need to get him in prison for high treason before that happens.

Some poster said they wouldn’t wipe their butt with the paper the nobel piece prize is printed on…obama, a man who whole heartedly supports infanticide gets peace prize? So much confusion going on. He doesn’t want anyone to “be punished by having a baby”. This decrepit man with many names obama, barry whatever, needs to be locked up much less be in the executive seat or given a peace prize. Why are they announcing it now when he won it 10 days after he supposedly was sworn in to protect and defend the constitution? More confusion.

Remember this new world order commandaments written in stone in Georgia…yes Georgia, the place they store the thousands of plastic coffins in an open field for God knows what.

‘Hope oprah chokes on a ham sandwich. It’s all her fault. And she parades around like some altruistic goddess..she’s a two-faced racist phoney and as big a one as her fat-ass.

Quantum: Sure wish you could give me a link or the general area where these coffins are located. Would definitely check it out. Thanks in advance.

What a joke, next Michelle will be Playboys centerfold of the year. I don’t remember did old Adolph win a Nobel in 1938?

Let’s see, sides with Chavez-wannabe dictator over Hondurans fighting to preserve their constitution and democracy; Sides with Iranian regime over freedom fighters being massacred in the streets; Hangs our Eastern European allies out to dry; Yeah, by all means let’s award such an individual a “peace prize”.
This is such a disgrace and an embarrassment.
On the up side, no one can deny the absurdity of it, even the usual lefty Barry water carriers. Everyone knows what a ridiculous joke this is, and Dumbo simply looks like an even bigger fraud.

This bears repeating to the above link.

When recognition and honor are bestowed upon those who have not earned such accolades, we do not celebrate – period. Instead we criticize and deplore such honors as illegitimately bestowed and, if accepted, illegitimately received.
Such is the case with President Obama’s recent award of the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize. Twelve days after the President took office he was nominated. Since then President Obama has done nothing to earn this prize. Even so, he has been honored by a Nobel Peace Prize committee chaired by a prominent socialist leader in Europe. Without question, this award reflects the President’s distinctly socialist political philosophy – a philosophy that remains quite popular throughout Scandinavia and Europe. Likewise, it is likely a statement of how much socialists in Europe disliked the former President and serves to express their relief with Obama’s election and agreement with his politics.

This practice of receiving undeserved reward has become commonplace in the U.S. over the last thirty years.

However, there is another unique characteristic of this President that has never been experienced before – namely, Obama’s political orientation is clearly socialist. Since taking office he has done everything within his power to dismantle the market-capitalism orientation of the U.S. and has steadily extended central government control and regulation over a growing portion of the “commanding heights” of the U.S. economy. For instance, he has established a pay czar over the salaries of bank executives and dramatically extended federal control and ownership over banks. He has also assumed management of the nation’s largest automobile firm and has dictated the terms of reorganization for another. The administration also owns the world’s largest insurance company and is pursuing control of 20% of the national economy by taking over U. S. health care. Likewise, despite assurances to the contrary, President Obama is attempting to increase the tax burden of all citizens, particularly higher income citizens, and has championed any number of schemes that would serve to redistribute the wealth of the nation from the richest to the poorest sectors of the economy.
I assert that this award is an affirmative action award which favors his candidacy over more qualified applicants by virtue of his race and socialist politics.

However, what I would have hoped more than anything else is that President Barak Obama would have had the common decency to decline this award and in so doing acknowledge that its bestowal upon him is premature and completely devoid of merit – particularly in comparison to the accomplisments of other candidates. Moreover, I would like to think that the President possesses a modicum of pride and self-respect and would never want to benefit from an unearned and undeserved award like this.

Unfortunately, this “President-who-would-be-King” accepted the award and will travel to Europe to receive it. To his credit, he has acknowledged that he does not deserve the award. However, despite this obvious acknowledgement on his part, he will take it.

I would like to say that I am surprised at his decision to receive this prize, but I am not. This man’s pride, avarice, and arrogance have mushroomed throughout the political campaign and during the early months of his presidency.

Truly this is an embarrassing and shameful moment in the history of the United States and the U.S. presidency. It communicates to every citizen and the whole world that image, ethnicity, mystique, and rhetoric count for more than sacrifice, labor, risk, accomplishment and ethical compassion when it comes to the recognition of merit. The award of this once-important prize to President Obama is deplorable. His acceptance of the award is outrageous. The message communicated to the citizens of the world with the award of this prize is disheartening, and the value of this once-vaunted prize has been completely diminished.

In reflecting upon this sorry state of affairs and the President’s willingness to accept gain he did not earn I am reminded of a verse from Proverbs 16:18 ,“Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.” I predict that nothing good will come of this award for either the President or the nation.

I join millions of other U.S. citizens in hanging my head in shame over this travesty.

My take is that a bunch of clowns, i.e. cultural marxists, from Norway are trying to deconstruct the Nobel Prize.

    • 22 drkate October 11, 2009 at 12:44 am

yep, I am thinking my letter will mock them instead of going point by point. Hmmm. haven’t decided yet. Rewarding anti-americanism and socialism is right up there. Trashing the NPP…will never be the same.

Maybe they will be forced to resign?

The Nobel should be reserved for people who dedicate their lives (and some actually lay down their lives) for peace, not for lofty ideals. I have lofty ideals, where’s mine?

The fact that the Nobel Committee selected Obama after he was in office only two weeks, makes a mockery of some of the great people who HAVE won it in the past.

People are not always going to agree on whether someone who wins is “worthy” and we may sometimes disagree with their political views but regardless, there are clearly individuals who truly earned the prize- the Dalai Lama and Nelson Mandela immediately come to mind. China is a big sticking point with me and I am outraged at this administration’s posture towards them. How ironic that the Dalai Lama is in Washington DC as we speak, requested a meeting with Obama and he said no? Shameful.

When Guantanamo is actually closed, when the Executive Branch ceases to be a secret shadow government (thanks to policies created by the Bush admin. neocons), when we stop using the Bill of Rights as political fodder and when we cease our hypocritical foreign policy towards China, Cuba and Burma then we can talk about whether Obama really deserves this honor.

In my opinion, here is who should have received the prize-Huang Ciping:

  15. 25 stacyx October 10, 2009 at 7:13 am

Oops, I made a mistake- not Huang Ciping, but Hu Jia, who is in prison. Sorry ’bout that.

It is important to remember that both Obamas are the products of the most corrupt political organization the world has ever known-the South Side of Chicago, Cook County, Illinois known there as the cesspool of corruption-this is NOT a figure of speech. As these ACORN, SEIU and other mob organizations are investigated America and the world will find out how deep the corruption is and it will go as high as the White House. Obama and Jarrett and others are the biggest SLUMLORDS in America. Actually there so good at stealing taxpayer money in the name of the people (poor and downtrodden) they should get an award for their great work in this area.

    http://www.boston.com/news/nation/articles/2008/06/27/grim_proving_ground_for_obamas_housing_policy/

ACORN fraud in the last election cycle, maybe Obama should get an award for Gestapo tactics used at the DNC to ensure his election despite his ineligibility problems.
Virtue should be rewarded, vice should be punished. Eventually due to the sheer weight and volume of Obama’s criminal past and present the truth will win out in the end.

Yesterday’s anger and anguish have today given way to a more reasoned perception. I see now that the prize was awarded to the least deserving of the nominees by a bunch of left-wing Swedish meatballs.

  18. 30 stacyx October 11, 2009 at 12:01 pm

Stephen Walt is right, he should have respectfully declined the Prize:
