And they will trigger this so quickly that there ‘won’t be time’ to go to Congress to formally declare war, heck, McCain and Lieberman will probably invoke NDAA–Obama already has–regarding the ‘threat from Iran’.

Ron Paul hasn’t even lost Maine yet. 20% of the state won’t report until Feb. 18. get this. One Caucus (a caucus that Paul was expected to have a landslide victory) was postponed today because of weather. No other caucus in the state was effected by that same weather? Romney only leads by 180 votes. Ron Paul will likely take Maine, but I doubt it will get much attention in a week. Snow doesn’t cancel anything in Maine, except one caucus that could give Paul the win? Smells odd, is all.

LONDON — British authorities arrested eight people Saturday, including five employees of Rupert Murdoch’s tabloid the Sun, as part of an investigation into bribery of public officials by journalists, according to Scotland Yard and the newspaper’s parent company.
The arrests were made on suspicion of corruption in conjunction with a search at the homes of those arrested and at the newspaper’s office complex, detectives said.
A person with knowledge of the investigation, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss a continuing operation, confirmed reports that the arrested Sun employees were a deputy editor, Geoff Webster; the chief reporter, John Kay; the chief foreign correspondent, Nick Parker; a picture editor, John Edwards; and a reporter, John Sturgis.
The Sun is Murdoch’s British flagship and the country’s best-selling daily newspaper, with a circulation of 2.7 million.
It had previously been on the fringes of the scandal that led to the closing of its sister tabloid, the News of the World, last summer.
The arrests Saturday bring to nine the number of current and former Sun employees arrested in the case.
In addition to the journalists, a police officer, a Defense Ministry official and a member of the British armed forces were arrested Saturday, the police said. They too were charged with corruption, as well as misconduct in a public office.

Dr. K, from what the priest being interviewed said this morning, if the insurance the Church carries is owned by the church and the church cannot in good faith pay for abortions, then they cannot expect their insurance companies to pay for them either. So if the option is to force the insurance companies to pay for them, the church will close the insurance company. Then all the employees will have to find insurance on their own and the church will not pay for it, leaving all the employees to take Gov’t insurance.

I asked her what happened. She “loaned them out” to her friends. I told her to get them back! For some reason she couldn’t; but wanted me to “buy her more clothes.”
I did. I took her to Salvation Army and bought her an entire new wardrobe.
She was furious. I just shook my head and walked off.

I have a dear friend who is Bi-Polar (sometimes I think Dr(s) use that term for “I don’t know what the hell is wrong with her”.
They don’t like to take their meds because they don’[t feel that rush so they stop taking them. She has now been in the hospital 2 times in a year. I brought her home with me; otherwise, she would have been on the streets because she blew through her $$ and kept getting evicted for not paying her bills.
I took care of her; and as long I “hand fed” her the meds, she was fine!
Then she moved out and is having a hard time maintaining when she “refused to take her meds.” Thank God, she is not a criminal type, or she’d be in all kinds of trouble.
Back to addressing the issue. It would NOT shock me in the least if he pulled something like that. 7% of the population has been diagnosed with Bi-Polar disorder while 1% are diagnosed having schizophrenia

I have a Masters in Counseling (received my Masters at the age of 54) (NOT Psychiatry)…In “MY” friends case, I knew her very very well for years. I wrote a paper when I was working on my masters… and a simple explanation for Bi-Polar (which, in my opinon means, “I’t know WTF is wrong with them” so we’ll label it Bi-Polar.
Anyway, back to what I was saying. The human brain can only deal with so much stress when the problem causing the “severe” stress is in the home.

When a human being is under sustained stress in an environment with NO relief for an extended time period…the brain chemistry finally depletes it “natural” ability to produce “enough” to calm the person and put them back to a normal state.

Kids now are much more spoiled and out of control than when I was a child and a teen. They have everything they could possibly want and yet, they don’t appreciate it.

I think he handled the situation the way he did for maximum impact and it worked…..He was also able to embarrass Hannah on her own Facebook page, which she deserved and needed after what she did….I guarantee that she will think twice about ever using her Facebook to degrade and embarrass her parents again….The best part is that she is able to see that most people agree with her dad….That should give her a clue!
Absolutely! I think the Dad did just what was needed. Our children need to be made to work for what they get and not have everything handed to them. They can be taught to wait for cell phones, ipads, laptops, etc. I know ours have to and they have to work & save for things they want, and even then, they may not be allowed to get it if Dad and Mom do not think it is something they should have.
First thing you need to know about me is that I believe in discipline. I don’t believe kids really feel loved unless a caring parent cares enough to discipline. On the other hand, this dad has not and did not set a proper example and played tit-for-tat in a reactive manner. Who paid for that computer? Why was it necessary to demonstrate that destruction of property with a deadly weapon was any kind of solution to this problem? If you want a kid to learn to deal with family problems within the family, how is making a public video a proper example? How is this any different from putting a fist through a door or wall? What I see is a family that does not know how to communicate or discipline in a caring manner. Once a kid is 15+, if they haven’t learned how to be respectful and responsible, pulling out a gun and destroying property will only justify their rebellion. The kid most likely would have been addressing her negative emotions directly to her parents if she thought anybody was listening that cared. I suspect, especially based upon the father’s reaction, that she learned her behavior from her parents. I agree we are responsible for our own actions and no one makes us do anything. Not all bad behavior is influenced by Satan. All have fallen short. What I see in this is a dysfunctional family…top to bottom. I found the video sad, people looking for a solution in all the wrong places. Confiscate the computer, talk directly to daughter and establish some solid boundaries, let her know you care but will not tolerate her actions. Pulling out a gun, making a video and destroying the inanimate object was immature and irresponsible in and of itself. Its like saying, “look what you made me do.” I’d say that was giving the kid too much power and continuing the unhealthy communication that the kid started on Facebook. I could say a lot more, but I guaranty you what this father did will not improve the kids future actions.
I think you’re right on about that. The first thing I thought of was that this guy thinks he has to prove how “manly” he is by being a tough guy on video. I think he may be a victim of “little man” mentality. Trying to make up for his lack of statue with an over-reactive attitude. I see it a lot and just shake my head.
Obviously there’s not much communication in that household and when there is it’s probably a lot of shouting and screaming. That only makes the kids frustrated and want to lash out. I have a great-niece just like that and it kills me that she’s never had the right kind of discipline.
The daughter had just came off of a three month grounding for a previous Facebook infraction…..The more subtle discipline didn’t seem to work.
I know it seemed extreme to some people. My daughter is now 40; however, when she was 14, I was doing exceptionally well $$.
I was the manager/promoter of 6 Holiday Inn Restaurant/Bars combinations.
I thought I was doing the right thing at the time. I bought her everything from the better stores, since I could afford it. Right? Neiman Marcus (sp), Sanger Harris, etc.
Well, I came home one afternoon and was going to go in her room to get the wash. EVERYTHING in her closet was GONE!!!! Her excuse? Well, I loaned them to my friends. Told her to get them back!!! Couldn’t remember who had what. She EXPECTED me to go back to Neiman’s and buy all new!!!
Instead, I took her to a local thrift shop! She was furious. I was more furious.
It did teach her a lesson.
Troy, that reinforces what I said. The discipline has to be in place before age 15. If a 3 month grounding didn’t sink in or effect a positive change, why would anyone believe that taking out a 45 and shooting a perfectly good computer would have a positive effect? If the parents paid for the computer, they will probably now replace it. The guy just spent $130 on a software upgrade. If the girl bought the computer herself, then they have taught her never to trust them again. She could literally prosecute him. She should be ashamed of what she did on Facebook, but instead she can now be ashamed of what her father did on YouTube. She can blame him and point to the video as making her point of how self centered and unstable he is. He just gave her more power and showed how easily his buttons can be pushed. She was obviously looking for attention and she got it. Now she can escalate the tit-for-tat. The parents have no better idea why she did what she did and have lost control instead of gaining it. All that guy did was distance himself from his daughter. If she has a brain, she will now just become more covert in her disdain and self-destruction. She may very well leave home or go get pregnant. Hopefully not something worse.

Santorum vs. Paul – PASS IT ALONG!
Rick Santorum helped create the fiscal calamity that is destroying the United States. He was, and is, as much a part of the problem as Obama and the Democrats. Ron Paul, meanwhile, was and remains the lone, consistent voice of opposition to the big-spending, government-expanding schemes of both Republicans and Democrats. Santorum’s path has led the country to ruin. If Dr. Paul’s prescription had been followed, all of this could have been avoided. Here is the record.
As a U.S. Senator, Rick Santorum voted to raise the debt ceiling FIVE TIMES. Ron Paul has opposed EVERY debt ceiling increase, and has NEVER voted for an unbalanced budget or tax increase.
Santorum voted to DOUBLE the size of the U.S. Department of Education. Ron Paul has always advocated ABOLISHING the Department of Education, as Ronald Reagan promised but never did.
Santorum supported the largest expansion of the welfare state since the 1960s, the Medicare Part D prescription drug benefit, which added a $16 TRILLION UNFUNDED LIABILITY to the national debt. Ron Paul has always opposed ALL federal interference in medicine — even as a doctor, when he treated patients for free rather than accept Medicare and Medicaid payments from the government.
Santorum supports foreign aid, the process by which the U.S. government borrows money from China and uses it to bribe and prop up foreign governments (including China’s), while taxing Americans to pay interest on the loans. Ron Paul has NEVER voted for foreign aid because, as he points out, it is not permitted by the Constitution, it is a bad idea, and, anyway, the U.S. government is broke.
Santorum was a vocal cheerleader for war against Iraq and voted for the authorization to use force, which left the decision of whether or not to go to war in the hands of the president. As a result of the war, more than 4,000 American service members were killed and more than 30,000 were wounded. Untold numbers of Iraqi civilians died and Iraq’s Christian community was decimated. The war cost more than $700 billion in direct appropriations and much more when the indirect costs (long-term treatment of wounded veterans, etc.) are factored in. Now, after a partial American withdrawal from Iraq (an embassy larger than the Vatican remains, along with high-paid military contractors), the different ethnic factions of that country are embroiled in a civil war. And all of this because of fear-mongering over non-existent weapons, based on fraudulent information.
Ron Paul saw the push for war against Iraq beginning right after 9/11, and issued many articles and statements against it. On September 4, 2002, just months before the war began, Paul addressed the House of Representatives: “Mr. Speaker; I rise to urge the Congress to think twice before thrusting this nation into a war without merit — one fraught with the danger of escalating into something no American will be pleased with.” When it became clear that war was imminent, Paul introduced a resolution calling for a declaration of war, as required by the Constitution, although he intended to vote against it. This was blocked by other members of Congress, one of whom told Paul, “That part of the Constitution is anachronistic. We don’t follow it anymore.”
Now, after all the needless death and destruction wrought by the Iraq war, Santorum is leading the charge for another war of aggression based on dubious claims about weapons. And Ron Paul is, once again, counseling restraint and a return to the neutral foreign policy advised by America’s founders.
There’s more, sadly.
Santorum sided with big labor unions, and against Ron Paul, in opposing the National Right-to-Work law, which would have protected workers from being forced to pay union dues. He supported federal housing programs and government-sponsored enterprises like Fannie and Freddie, which inflated the housing bubble, while Ron Paul warned — as far back as 2001 — that a bubble was forming and would eventually burst, and even proposed legislation to eliminate the line of credit from the U.S. government to Fannie and Freddie.
Ron Paul has never taken a government-paid junket, has refused participation in the lucrative congressional pension plan, and returns a portion of his office budget each year to the U.S. Treasury. Santorum, on the other hand, collected $100,000 in taxpayer funds from the Penn Hills School District between 2001 and 2005 to pay for online courses for his home-schooled children. He did this by fraudulently claiming residency in Pennsylvania while he and his family actually lived in Washington, D.C.
If you support Santorum, don’t act surprised when you end up with more of the same — more big spending, debt, wars, lies and corruption. If you want real change — if you REALLY believe in the principles of limited government enshrined in the Constitution — then the choice is obvious. Go with the only candidate who has ALWAYS stood for these principles, through thick and thin, and oftentimes alone: Ron Paul.

Yeah Heather. Judging without walking a mile in her shoes is distasteful. Things aren’t always what they seem. Outward appearances are not always inner reality………It’s about compassion. Hating a sick lost soul is not getting it. Like her or not, agree or not..she came to the end of her journey here however short it was. Let God judge her. I’m not going to be the one to do that. I just like the joy she brought this world through her voice. Everyone has feet of clay. Only God is perfect. So she completed her journey here. People need to leave it at that and see the good. She wasn’t all bad.
Our imago (image of survival in our old instinctive brain) unconsciously attracts us to people of equal level of dysfunction. If our love tank is half empty, then we are drawn to people whose tanks are half empty. Meyers Briggs interviewed something like 100,000 couples on this very thing and discovered that almost never is a healthy character attracted to an unhealthy character. Each unhealthy (more empty tank) is looking for the other to fill their tank and basically unplugs the other’s tank and drains it. My point is that both Whitney and Bobbie were draining each other’s tanks. It is never a one way street. If anyone wants an excellent book to clearly understand this, I recommend 2. “Love Is A Choice” by Meyers Briggs and “Getting The Love You Want” by Harville Hendrix. These books offer some solutions as well as define the problems. The first gives the best synopsis of codependency I’ve seen and the latter gives great insight into core issues. Sorry about the psychobabble, but these are very practical and well worth the read.

THEY (gop vote cheaters) STOPPED THE COUNT AT 83% AND SAID THEY WOULD MAKE ROBMEY WIN BY AT LEAST 200 VOTE. 194 VOTE WIN AT 83% is not all the votes and disenfranchiseing and an entire county by cancelling the caucus ’cause Paul was winning there is not the total votes.
