Hey, Congress, are you listening to this?

Mark Levin is one of my favorite authors and radio talk show hosts.  His book Liberty and Tyranny is truly a must read.  As an old ex-dem, I finally found out that I actually am a conservative!  Here Mark lets off just a little steam…

And how was your day?

Texas Darlin is probably so proud of all her darlins. Just buzzing in from WTPOTUS. Its wonderful, this beautiful community.

~Also, Drkate, got the word to say a prayer at 2:01 pm in the nick of time today and so I did…then I took a peek at TD’s when I came in tonight and saw BFAC in the comments. Wow.

Love Liberty Bell! I hear it ringing.

Whoa! I had never listened to Mr. Levin before. I am not off-put by his passion but this passion appears to be putting him off his “A” game. For example, I wish he had tempered some of his criticism of the ‘left.’ After all, those citizens are no better off for believing in BO’s hype; than are those on the right, for rejecting it. When he spoke about ‘we’re supposed to hate people who work for insurance companies, and oil companies, etc.’; I wish he had said what I am sure he has recognized in researching and reading about the issues. That is, BO incites the masses to focus our hate on particular groups but, these groups are his allies. They paid for his candidacy; and are paying for his programs. But just like during his campaign to get into office, he doesn’t want us focusing on his corruption. So, instead, he pits the ‘left’ against the ‘right.’ But whether the charges are ‘racists’ or ‘Birthers’ or ‘angry mobs,’ this is all just a distraction.

Excellent observations. Of course his book does not come across this way!

His radio show has millions of listeners and I think in some way him channeling his anger–while in calmer shows discussing these things as you have said–helps his listeners vent it too in a more controlled way, rather than doing anything more drastic.

As you point out, there is a point where the message can be lost, and it is just a rant.

    Love Mark!

Can’t wait to hear what he has to say about Axelrod and his ex-firm and how it’s all a tangled $ web. it’s could get ugly.

We really need to overhaul Congress by 2010 as we’re gonna need lots of new faces holding congressional hearings. We need to start cleaning House now. Our good health depends on it.

Barney Frank has some ‘splainin’ to do, as well. Oh, imagine that! A Congressional Hearing with fresh inquistors!

Mark Levin is a courageous American.

Wish he had the same passion about the Obama eligibility issues.

So many don’t understand the whole thing. frankly am surprised because otherwise his observations on liberty are spot on. thanks for coming by!

I’ve been disappointed that Mark doesn’t attack the issue of the birth certificate in a way that only he can, but I don’t hold it against him. For many reasons, he may feel called to focus on other issues that are more in his wheelhouse and that he can get more legal traction with.

Thanks for sharing this, drkate. I have always admired his way with words and his enthusiasm, too. He’s brilliant. Glad he’s on our side. He makes me laugh, too.

Wow, what a rant! I could imagine his face being boiling blood red and his heart pumping very hard. Feared he might have a heart attack!!!

However, he’s dead on with his anger and lucky him for having a place to do it and an audience who supports his viewpoint.

I listen to Mark every chance I get. He has a very sensitive side, too, as evidenced in his book, “Rescuing Sprite”.

I don’t think he’s even 50 years old yet, but he’s already had bypass surgery and I’ve heard him boast that his doctor says these periods of “stress” are good for his heart. I hope he’s right, because his is one of the clearest national voices defending the Constitution.
