Sometimes the number of diversions that Obama’s team are setting up is overwhelming, as it is of course intended to be. The ‘major plan’ (at this moment) is to appropriate of 1/6 of the American economy under the guise of health care health insurance reform health care for all, in the context of Obama’s sinking poll numbers and high disapproval rate of the democrats in Congress. Here’s just one pattern I see emerging:
- Accuse people of treason, political terrorism, or some other scurrilous term
- Attack the CIA
- Blame Bush & republicans
- Hit Sarah Palin and in general, women
So here’s the 10,514th notice of diversions… 😆
Accuse People of Treason
“Republicans opposing Obama’s healthcare plan are undermining….the Country”~ Howard Dean
Just like Paul Krugman accused those who opposed the Cap & Trade legislation of treason against the environment, Howard Dean stops just short of accusing us all of treason against the Country for being vocal and concerned about the current health care proposal. How ironic. Instead of helping the debate, Dr. Howard Dean’s sudden appearance on the Sunday talk shows and at Jim Moran’s Virginia health care forum did much to undermine the democrats and ‘obamacare’. The people were furious at the forum and are further enflamed by Dr. Dean’s own words. He might as well have screamed! (note: as soon as I loaded the videos they disappeared…)
Keep it up, we are having an effect. And thank you, us, all, for coming out in force–our elders, our children, ourselves.
Now here’s John McCain, in a packed stadium, which he said with great admiration was a ‘peaceful revolution’, conducting a health care forum. The coverage showed a lot of white-haired people i the audience. Later, on Greta, he said
“…when we consider the generational theft, trillions being considered, Americans are finally standing up, and in an unusual way, saying “enough”….the medical oath is ‘first do no harm’…these plans are going to overwhelm our healthcare system….reducing quality of care…”
Attack the CIA
Looks like Eric Holder is going after the CIA interrogators again, in the midst of an announcement that Obama will continue Bush’s rendition program. This is a continuation of the brawl in July which was started when Pelosi said the CIA lied to her. Holder at that time also insinuated he would investigate the CIA.
Now that the President’s poll numbers are tanking and the people are awake and aware about the health care plan, it is time to investigate them again. the pre-printed signs at rallies say ‘no torture’, with the Obama campaign sign at the top, while Obama continues the rendition program.
Busted, and counter-diversion two: Obama and Holder: you cannot investigate the interrogators that performed the practice you are continuing.
All I can say is that we had a surplus in 2000 and by the time 2001 had passed we were in the hole, never to climb out for another eight years. There is no doubt Bush worsened our financial situation.
But Obama had a choice, and chose badly. He has blamed Bush for months, but, the job losses since January, the debt, and the intergenerational theft–which it truly is–is now owned entirely by Obama.
The truly frightening U.S. Debt clock (h/t Logistics Monster) has been made triple-worse by Barack Obama. He is intent on, and has already broken, the American economy, the fed coming to his rescue by just printing more money. Hyperinflation is on the way, just like Germany before the onset of totalitarianism.
Counter diversion three: We can see very well, thank you.
Attack Sarah Palin and in general Women
As I was writing this Greta had a very funny special entitled ” Does David Letterman have a problem with women?”. Featured was a video of clips from Letterman’s interview with the editor of Vogue magazine in which Dave was throughly trounced. Of course he again recently jeered Sarah Palin’s beauty as being her only qualification for a Republican vice presidential candidate. Never mind her Governership and hard work.
David is a fool, afraid of women, and democrats are afraid of Sarah Palin. You guys are busted, as far as I am concerned. Boycotting Letterman and all of his advertisers as ‘having problems with women’ is still a very good idea. Letterman? He can continue to make a fool of himself.
Counter diversion four: YOU have the problem, real women and real men don’t. 😛
****END OF NOTICE****
