“Rope and Chains”

“Hope and Change?  Nah…its more like Rope and Chains, get it?” ~speaker, 912 March on Washington

The CSPAN coverage of the 912 Rally (yes, I know I am shamelessly plugging it once again) included the speakers, one of whom uttered the above gem about ‘hope and change’.

This is a pictorial essay in support of this keen observation and a commentary on the great American awakening.

The first awakening probably happened when Barack Obama met Joe the Plumber:

When America found out about 'redistribution of wealth'

When America found out about ‘redistribution of wealth’

what change!

what change?

but we voted them in, didn't we?

but we voted them in, didn’t we?

Satire sometimes tells the truth

To the one obot I saw at the march, I said, “how’s that hopey-changey thing goin’ for ya?”, and snapped this photo:

smart, or smart ass?

smart, or smart ass?

"I create two shovel-ready projects a day!"

    Hey There!

Glad you made it home safe. We stayed an extra day to cruise DC a little more.

The Obot with the sign was a nutjob. Would you walk into a crowd of 2 million people who want the constitution preserved and carry a sign that basically advocates the shredding of the constitution? Um, I wouldn’t and I’ve done some crazy things in my short time on the planet.

The March on DC, along with sending a stout message to the current administration that ‘Enough is Enough!’, was a visual reminder that we are not stopping, we are growing and that we will work tirelessly to bring truth to the people.

Thank you so much for your blog. We spoke with a group of local citizens yesterday at a luncheon, told them about DC, our experiences and recommended your blog to them, along with Logistics Monster and The Dame Truth. The more informed people become, the more truth will prevail.

It is going to take a village to get rid of the idiot(s).

Psst, would you send the pic of the shovel ready dog? That is a classic.

I hope all is well in your part of the world. We are doing what we can in the Midwest.

Here’s some pictures you will laugh at:

I like the one that says “undocumented worker”

And a great article about the consummate campaigner.

Speaking of Nancy, here she is saying she is going to squeeze the hellMedicare to pay for health care. Oh, the truth slips out now.
Really though, they only want health care to cheat the boomers out of their social security because they don’t really have enough money to pay all the boomers. Ya know?
