“ACORNS toasting on an open fire…”

©2009 drkate

acornI know it’s a little early to be thinking about roasted toasted chestnuts acorns on an open fire, with ‘jack frost nipping at the air’ and all, but that song came to mind with the most recent revelations of more investigations and indictments of ACORN. This is especially important in the context of  recent posts on the application of RICO, the racketeering act, to ACORN’s activities.

The key will be to connect the dots–the pattern of corruption the organization demonstrates across state lines.  Hiring primary thugs to be bussed across state lines for intimidation purposes, or fraudulent voter registration is part of this interstate criminal enterprise.

It is ripe for a federal investigation, and we will see if AG Eric Holder “Holdback” stifles any investigation brought forth.  And we will also find out where Patrick Fitzgerald may come out on this, as the ACORN issue appears to have makings of bringing down Al Capone Barack Obama and underlings.

And, if ACORN was intended to be Obama’s ‘civilian army’, he has just been dealt a huge blow.  This cannot be covered up, and transparent efforts to dismiss it (e.g., Harry Reid) will worsen the problem for them.

Each of the stories linked below is of considerable value in exploring the threads of ACORN corruption.  Enjoy:

Now of course, ACORN is filing a $3 million dollar lawsuit against the video reporters who caught ACORN workers willingly offering to set up a brothel with underage, illegal immigrant children.  The suit is filed in Baltimore, Maryland. Maryland has a statue requiring that party being taped must be notified that they are being taped.  Its what got Linda Tripp nailed when she taped her conversations with Monica Lewinsky.

Tripp, by the way, just praised “Obama’s purity of soul”.  😮

Wow, that put an end to this post pretty quick!  lol

I want as much focus on this blog as possible when I publish Part 3 of the TerriK Investigation Report, subtitled:

Not only has Obama waived privacy interests, the state waived them as well. More important is the fact that state law governs that no privacy interest exception applies when the information requested is required to be released under the UIPA at 92F-12.

The only question is whether Hawaii will obey its own laws.

I will publish this report late tonight or early tomorrow morning.

I find it interesting that in a group of people that professes to love the constitution, no one has denounced the bill to stop federal funding of ACORN. This was a clearly unconstitutional ‘bill of attainder’ and has absolutely no chance of surviving if it is brought before the SCOTUS (kind of like all of the eligibility lawsuits that you have been cheering). Although you do seem to be engaging in something else which is very American: a witch hunt. ACORN is an organization which primarily helps low income families by doing things like helping them with mortgages and taxes and trying to raise the minimum wage. There has never been any suggestion of voter fraud by ACORN (there are more voter fraud investigations of Ann Coulter(2) than ACORN (0). The reports of voter REGISTRATION fraud in Nevada came to light when ACORN reported voter registrations they paid workers to obtain as possibly fraudulent. Mickey Mouse did not actually vote, so no voter fraud occurred and the only victim of fraud here is ACORN itself. I’m not defending the employees videotaped by Hannah Giles and James O’Keefe – they were fired immediately and rightly so (although as has been pointed out here, they are in serious trouble with the law themselves as a result), but it is a sad commentary on the polarization of American politics that an organization that has done a lot of good for the poorest Americans is the victim of such a witch hunt.

Interesting viewpoint, an ACORN apologist at that.

So ACORN was started by the weathermanunderground, as the ‘legal’ arm, harassing and intimidating banks and corporations to make risky loans to low income people. And what is democratic about that? How has this really helped low-income people, when their very tactics caused part of the financial meltdown?

      A witch hunt you say?

Voter intimidation, voter fraud, voter registration fraud, sifting taxpayers money, giving brothel advice? Admitting to murder?

Thanks for dropping by, but we don’t need your kind of excusing acorn because ‘it helps low income people’. Are you sure ‘low income people’ would approve of fraud?

        Dr Kate,
They have a booklet out on “how to game the system and defraud the vote” It’s part of their training manual…
I’ll try to find it again..

Why didn’t Nancy Pelosi come out and publicly denounce the “Code Pinkers” at the Pittsburg G-20 summit protest Like she did to the Tea Party protestors?
Jodi Evans is the president of code pink who is an anarchist anti-american by day and a multi-millionaire pro-american by night getting chauffered around in a Cadillac Escalade to meetings with big wigs and God knows who…

Oh and it’s an internal document written by Weather Underground. It has a red cover and chapters inside in case anyone finds it before I do..I have it on another computer.

        Dr. Kate,

I want to correct the record for you because I think it is very important that we deal in absolute facts. ACORN was not started by a Weather Underground founder. ACORN was started by Wade Rathke. Rathke was not part of the weather underground although he was an Alinkyite. Wade Rathke’s brother embezzled almost a million dollars from ACORN. Wade and others at ACORN covered the embezzlement up for 8 years. Once the embezzlement was made public Wade Rathke either resigned or lost his position at ACORN. He then went to work for SEIU and he also is the head of CIC another arm of ACORN. I believe all of the information I have provided here to be factual, but I believe one of those facts is that Wade Rathke was not a weather underground founder.

        • 9 drkate September 28, 2009 at 8:51 pm

Thanks…however, Wade Rathke was part of SDS and my sources indicate a part of the weather underground. Will find them and post as soon as I can.

          • 10 curi0us0nefromthe60s September 28, 2009 at 8:54 pm

The weather underground was an offshoot of SDS by a few former SDS members. I’m not trying to be tough. I just think you should state Wade Rathke was SDS instead of weather underground. Weather underground was a very special and sick group of individuals. If Wade Rathke was not a part of that twisted group, which I believe he was not, even if he was part of SDS, we should say so. Just want the record to be clean.

Helped low income people ? How stupid is that statement ? I saw tons of those low income people they helped forclosed on after getting a chance at a home to buy that they never could afford. Now their life savings are gone, and credit is ruined, not to mention the dreams they had destroyed ! Why don’t you ask a few of them how thay feel now. I do not think “helped” is the answer they would give you. Maybe more along the lines of “used” would be more correct. Unbelievably incompetent answer ! Follow the money- who got rich off this big scam huh ?
Someone needs to do alot more reading obviously…….

You said: “ACORN is an organization which primarily helps low income families by doing things like helping them with mortgages and taxes and trying to raise the minimum wage.”

When I viewed all of the ACORN tapes in all 5 cities: Baltimore MD, Washington D.C., Brooklyn NY, San Bernadino CA, and National City (a suberb of San Diego) CA, the first thought that came to my mind WAS NOT how can I protect ACORN, how can I explain all of the good that ACORN does. The first thought that came to my mind was this: how can employees of an organization with the madate to help the least advantaged among us, how can employes of this organization be so utterly depraved and morally bankrupt? How can these employees listen to the folks who are stating that they are going to participate in the sexual trafficking of minors from a foreign nation sit there and show no horror, no compelling evidence that they are horrified by the potential actions that are about to take place. And then my second thought is how can I help ensure that our society does not have such depraved and morally bankrupt people living among us. I ask myself how can I best help. Should I volunteer at the boys and girls clubs of America? Should I volunteer to be a big sister with the Big Brothers/Big Sisters organization? Should I go to a local church and see if I can help with the youth? Or should I join ACORN and ensure that they are truly helping people as they are mandated? I’m not sure which action I will take, but I know I will act. We have to truly give people hope and guidance with a moral compass that isn’t spinning around in depraved circles. Instead of supporting a corrupt organization Slartibartfast, why don’t you join me in trying to make a difference in the lives of the least privileged among us? Why don’t you help us weed out this corruption, depravity and moral bankruptcy? Will you join us in the solution? or will you continue to promote the problem?

Google here but whatever you do do not read it on FreeRepublic…obots have attached a trojan virus to it…

“News just on FOX: An Acorn Field Director has “flipped”, is now working with Nevada Attorney General on case against ACORN. Nevada Acorn offices raided, field manuals on how to commit Voter Registration Fraud seized.”

Still need to send over the booklet info..

drkate, there is a good article “breaking news” at American Spectator. Acorn’s man in the WH. Man named Gaspar who is Obama’s “Karl Rove.” I found the article at HotAir if you want to go there. I have a different computer because my old one crashed some months ago. I don’t know how to link with this one I have now. Sorry.

Acorn employees did nothing wrong. I repeat, Acorn employees did nothing wrong. What’s that you say? Perhaps you should think a moment – let’s say you were one of those employees. Two nuts with an impossibly foolhardy scheme show up – a scheme so impossible that this appears to be a gag… I mean, paying taxes on pimping revenues? What kind of pimp would do that? Using the proceeds to run for Congress? Dressed up as SuperFly? Getting the government to help with a whorehouse full of Salvadoran children? And this pimp planned to be a public figure? Most people would suspect that this is a gag, but perhaps there is a risk it is true. If it is, isn’t it good to know in case some children are in danger… to find out you need to pretend to be their friend. That’s what people usually do in these situations…

When a madman meets you on the street and tells an impossible tale, isn’t the usual response to play along? These Acorn employees met people playing madmen with an impossible tale – and in many cases they too played along. Had it been serious and had they stuck their necks out by getting involved with Acorn, then they’d be exposed to be apprehended and their crazy, foolhardy scheme would have died. I mean, with the foolhardiness shown, one would wonder how such a pimp could survive a day on the streets.

To impute evil motives to these Acorn employees is highly unfair considering these circumstances. Many conclude that these Acorn employees supported child prostitution and so forth because of their reactions to the madness. Then they say that Acorn itself supports child prostitution (the Bad Apple theory of course only applies to the Bush administration and the military under its command). Blackwater is accused of openly using child prostitutes in Iraq… actually engaging in this activity. I mean, the fake pimp could have claimed that he wanted help to go to Mars himself – would you accuse Acorn employees of really believing that they were helping with an expedition to Mars?
