Preamble to the Articles of Freedom

Presented by Jeff Williams, delegate from Washington State.

Declaration and Resolves

of Continental Congress

2009

In defense of a free people, the time has come to reassert our God-given, natural rights and cast off tyranny . . .

LET THE FACTS REVEAL — The Federal Government of the United States of America, which was instituted to Protect the rights of individual citizens, instead — threatens our life, liberty and property through usurpations of the Constitution; and emboldened by our own lack of responsibility and due diligence in these matters, has exceeded its’ mandate, and abandoned those founding principles which have made our nation exceptional:

Our Servant government has undertaken these unconstitutional actions in direct violation of their Constitutional duties, to the detriment of the People’s liberty and the sovereignty of our Republic; Over many years and spanning multiple political administrations, the People who have, in good conscience, attempted to deliberate our grievances and voice our dissent against these offensive actions through both petition and assembly, have been maligned and ignored with contempt;

The people of the several States of Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming, justly alarmed at these arbitrary and unconstitutional actions, have elected, constituted and appointed delegates to meet, and sit in general Congress, in the City of St. Charles, Illinois;

Whereupon these delegates, as duly elected representatives of the several states, have gathered in defense of divine justice, liberty and the principles of limited government, and we stand in clear recognition of the supreme law of the land — the Constitution of the United States of America.

THEREFORE, WE DEMAND that Government immediately re-establish Constitutional rule of law, lest the People be forced to do so themselves; and we hereby serve notice that in the defense of Freedom and Liberty there shall be NO COMPROMISE to which we shall ever yield.

NOVEMBER 2009 (19)
“That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the
Right of THE PEOPLE to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government . . .”
From the Declaration of Independence Continental Congress 2009 THE NEXT STEP FOR A FREE PEOPLE
This month, elected citizen delegates from states
throughout the Union gathered near Chicago for an elevenday
convention. The purpose was to focus on past and
current violations of the United States Constitution
and to put an end to those violations by holding Federal
and State officials accountable. It was NOT a constitutional
convention. There was NEVER any intent or suggestion
that one single word be changed in the U. S. Constitution.
The goal from the very inception was to DEFEND, not
amend our Constitution.
Americans have exhausted their administrative and
judicial remedies, only to be rejected by those we elected to
represent us. Nothing we’ve done has caused the government
to honor its obligation or respond to the people’s
petitions for redress. This assemblage was intended to
formulate a roadmap to bring the government back under
control of the Constitution and, therefore, THE PEOPLE.
Because the Constitution can’t defend itself and is not a
menu, free people wish now to exhaust their Constitutional
remedies guaranteed by the Declaration of Independence
and the Accountability Clause of the First Amendment.
The hope is that this process will raise the level of Constitutional
literacy in America among the citizens, among
the elected officials and among the dominant media.
The delegates worked 18 hour days, agonizing over gutwrenching
decisions, sorting out details in the documents
to be presented to the American people. Each citizen, who
signs on, needs to know that he will not be standing alone,
but will be joined by millions of other Patriots in a proactive,
non-violent defense of the Constitution.
The entire event was live-streamed on the internet, yet
totally ignored by the media and virtually all Americans. I
found the proceedings to be as compelling as the struggles
were for the Founding Fathers, as they labored to create the
best nation in the history of mankind. Happily, my alterego,
Theron Davis, was as addicted to the process as I was
and we e-mailed back and forth continually along with
phone calls to discuss the historic event we were observing.
At one point during the meetings, Theron told me of a visit
that he made to the Jefferson Memorial in Washington
D.C. and the inscription he saw at that monument: “I have
sworn upon the alter of God, eternal hostility against
every form of tyranny over the mind of man.” At another
point in time, Theron was so moved that he sent me all the
lyrics to “America the Beautiful.” (see below)
The closing ceremony was so patriotic and moving that
even old Geezers like us found an emotional lump in our
throats. We were reminded of the last sentence of the
Declaration of Independence: “And for the support of this
Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of
Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our
Lives, our Fortunes and our Sacred Honor.”
Eastern Washington State had two shining stars at the
congress who distinguished themselves with their
thoughtful, creative and unifying statesman-like qualities.
We plan to provide their personal accounts in an upcoming
issue of the Palouse Patriot.
THIS COULD TURN OUT TO BE THE MOST
HISTORIC EVENT IN AMERICA, SINCE WWII;
unfortunately, only a fraction of the American population
was aware of it. It was completely ignored by all manner of
media, with the exception of the Idaho Observer and
redcountry.com.
CC2009 “DECLARATION AND RESOLVES” can
be found on the second page of this issue of the Palouse
Patriot. Information on CIVIL ACTION for all American
Patriots will be provided in an upcoming issue. Prepare to
sign on to show you are a true American Patriot, unafraid
of demanding Constitutional adherence by those you have
elected to represent you. ~ Rick Kiesz
The American’s Creed
By William Tyler Page
I believe in the United States of America as a government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just
powers are derived from the consent of the governed, a democracy in a republic, a sovereign Nation of many
sovereign States; a perfect union, one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice,
and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.
I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it, to support its Constitution, to obey its laws, to respect its
flag, and to defend it against all enemies.
America the Beautiful By Katherine Lee Bates
O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America! God shed His grace on thee,
And crown they good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!
O beautiful for pilgrim feet,
Whose stern impassion’d stress
A thoroughfare for freedom beat
Across the wilderness!
America! America! God mend thine ev’ry flaw,
Confirm they soul in self-control,
Thy liberty in law!
O beautiful for heroes proved in liberating strife,
Who more than self their country loved,
And mercy more than life!
America! America! May God thy gold refine
Till all success be nobleness,
And ev’ry gain divine!
O beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam,
Undimmed by human tears!
America! America! God shed His grace on thee,
and crown they good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!

If you love the tranquility of servitude greater than the
animating contest for freedom, go home and leave us
in peace. We seek not your council, nor your arms.
Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; and

In the beginning of a change the patriot is a
scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned.
When his cause succeeds, the timid join him,
for then it costs nothing to be a patriot.

There were several delegates who could not sign the Articles of Freedom, for several reasons, all of which in my opinion are valid. Here is the Delegate from New Hampshire, explaining his signature:

I wish to state that my signature on the document known as
    Articles of Freedom means this:

That I declare to the world that it is my full belief the We,
the People…ALL American citizens… have the RIGHT and the
AUTHORITY to interpret the Constitution of the United states.
This RIGHT has not been asserted since the Marbury vs. Madison
ruling led to the Supreme court claiming that only it had the
    authority to interpret the Constitution.

It has take over two hundred years for The People to comprehend that the vast majority of our problems stem from allowing our representatives in ALL branches of government (including our Judiciary branch) to stray from a strict adherence to the plain and simple language of our rulebook of government… The Constitution. It is sad, yet a fact, that it has taken The People this long to demand that ALL branches of OUR government obey the rules. In the Preamble to the Constitution it states: ‘ We, the People… do Ordain and Establish…” Therefore, it is obvious, that since We, the People did Ordain and Establish… then We, the People… have the RIGHT and AUTHORITY to interpretthe document that We, the People created.

And….here’s the position, relative to that, of Obama et al.
Obama said, community interests are more important than are individual interests, and since community has neither brain nor heart, it falls to the few governing elite to govern. His belief that the “State or the Government is the embodiment of all that is good and beneficial and that the individuals are wretched underlings, exclusively intent upon inflicting harm upon one another and badly in need of a guardian,” should be unchallenged. (Von Mises) No one must question him or his beliefs in the sacred task of governance, and his fellow supporters are as fanatical as the Muslims who would conquer the world. He, and his modern Democrats, is far from the libertarian Democrats of the 19th century, from Jefferson to Cleveland, who believed in individual freedom, the resulting free market, small government and America’s prosperity, as cited in THE CHANGING FACE OF DEMOCRATS on Amazon and claysamerica.com.
