“Truths are Self-Evident”

Through the painstaking examination  of our Constitutional Republic, Constitution, where we let it get off course and why, and who was involved, we are reminded again, this time by the Charlotte Observer in “Truths are Self-Evident” , that the solution IS the Constitution.  It is good to know that we are not alone, and a mass awakening is happening.

There is no other course but to get back to the founding principles of our Country, no matter how much these principles have been ridiculed and ignored, or how long it has taken, or will take,  to build this awareness in our citizenry.  From the article:

At its birth, this nation justified its independence by asserting truths said to be self-evident, according to “the Laws of Nature and Nature’s God.” Working from the great principle of human equality, the men who launched this experiment in popular government claimed a new basis of political legitimacy: the consent of those governed.

~snip~

The founding of the United States was indeed revolutionary, but not in the sense of replacing one set of rulers with another or overthrowing the institutions of society. What was revolutionary were the ideas upon which the new nation would be built: permanent truths “applicable to all men and all times,” as Abraham Lincoln later said. The ultimate ground of government would be principle rather than will.

~snip~

Unfortunately, few of our learned elites  teach the self-evident truths that animated the Founders. Instead, they passionately embrace and pass on a more “modern” belief: No such truths exist. Certainly no truths applicable to all time, anyway.

The ‘learned elite’ derived their view of the Constitution in part from Darwin, and other advances in science. The science was applied to the management of society (social science; political science) with  ‘efficient, scientific management’ of by government, based on how the ‘living constitution’ is interpreted by the ruling elite of the time.

Know the Enemies of Freedom

By now we all know to study the tactics used by Obama and the socialist democrats, namely Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals” (the thuggery),  and the Cloward-Piven strategy (the government systems).

What  also need to work on the narrative of ideas coming forward to destroy our constitution and economy– the ‘intellectual tsunami‘ of the left.  Like studying Alinsky, it is also important to understand the basis of the left’s narrative–for example, Darwin and the ‘living constitution’–to create the effective counter-narrative, such as ‘enduring principles for all men over all time”.

What would it look like with Constitutional governance, at the local, state, and federal level?  That’s the vision we must create, as it is the only viable alternative.

Well said. Moral relativity vs absolute truth is the challenge before us.

Liar in chief’s number crash to 49% disapprove.

Also, they are at it again trying to break the bank while giving themselves 2% raise.
The Senate on Sunday passed a $1.1 trillion spending bill with increased budgets which
includes action to raise the $12.1 trillion debt ceiling.
The spending bill passed Sunday includes $447 billion for departments’ operating budgets.

Republicans decried what they called out-of control spending and pointed to an estimated $3.9 billion in the bill for more than 5,000 local projects sought by individual lawmakers from both parties.

This is a great question – how will it look? or how should it look?

I fear dk that we have grown apathetic towards the federal government AND accustomed. So many people I talk to these days haven’t the intellectual depth to clearly understand what is truly happening within the walls of their government. They use excuses like “I’m too busy” or “I don’t know where to find the truth” or “there’s nothing I can do about it anyway”.

Even with all of this upheavel the American populous plays right into these rascals meme. It’s a shame.

I want the federal government to be small, much much much smaller than it is now. I want laws to be enforced. I want transparency with all policy and I want term limits. No one should make a career and financially benefit from the power they gain while serving the people back home.
