Operation ‘Paperclip’

The period after World War II seems to have been pivotal in solidifying the power secured through the Wilson and FDR eras of increased government control.  Did the importation of Nazi scientists to the United States after WWII help or hurt the United States?

What part of stupid didn’t these fools understand? Honestly, it’s appalling and not trying to beat up on my good brothers of today, but these fools were all men. White men! Such pompous, arrogant, hubris nincompoops they all are/were. I’ll bet there are even photos praising their leadership over at the Pentagon. If these were the role models for the brave and young men then, imagine what they are like today! This country is a mess!

As much as I hate to admit it, I do believe the scientists helped.

Without Werner von Braun, I doubt we could have landed on the moon when we did.

BTW he became very friendly with our president at that time, JFK. Nobody would ever have found him to be suspicious or realized what he left behind in Germany.

Without those German scientists, the Russians would have developed the first ICBMs, landed men on the moon in the 1960s and would have established a permanent presence on the moon and perhaps Mars. They would have had a field day trumpeting a Red Moon over our heads and adding a new meaning to the term “Red Planet.”
