Statesmen versus Politicians

©2010 drkate

Contemplating the dire situation our Country faces, with ‘elections’ coming up, some manner of separating the wheat from the chaff is essential.  General guidelines, perhaps, that help to discern specific issues.

Red Beckman’s Walls in our Minds is one of those sources.  Here is a list of ten differences between what we have now —politicians— and what we need, Statesmen and Stateswomen:

  1. A Statesman loves the Constitution.
  2. A Politician hates the Constitution.
  3. A Statesman enforces the Constitution.
  4. A Politician violates the Constitution.
  5. A Statesman uses truth to keep power in the hands of the people.
  6. A Politician uses lies to gain power over the people.
  7. A Statesman‘s primary concern is to secure freedom for future generations.
  8. A Politician’s primary concern is to get elected or re-elected.

and six more:

  1. Statesman will not play politics with the people’s money.
  2. A Politician will buy votes with tax money.
  3. A Statesman knows the people must control government.
  4. A Politician believes that government should control people.
  5. A Statesman knows the people must limit government’s power to tax.
  6. A Politician believes government should have unlimited power to tax.
  7. A Statesman gives his allegiance to the people and country.
  8. A Politician gives his allegiance to government.
  9. A Statesman will demand a balanced budget.
  10. A Politician will spend money stolen from future generations(deficit spending).
  11. A Statesman will cause peace.
  12. A Politician will cause wars.

Pretty stark comparisons, but I bet you all can think of a thousand ways in which your so-called representatives do and do not fit these categories. All candidates must be held up to these ten points of light.

Fasten your seat belt for the long term, and keep one eye open at all times.

Looking at this list seems like a daunting task to undo what has been done, with such power entrenched. We have been asleep for so long,I guess comfortable in our lives, generations of Americans.

If there ever was a time when we needed the help of Divine Providence, it is now.

It’s all much too far gone…I’ve been telling T.C. Dodd this for over a year now…The only solution that will work is the one we’ve all been trying so hard to avoid.

There is one other alternative and that would be a military coup de tat, but there is no telling what would result from it…We could end up going from the frying pan to the fire…The upper brass are a bunch of corrupted bastards too.

Personally, I welcome God’s intervention in a day of reckoning…Society, as a whole, is way too far gone and will only continue to decline.

I’m sorry to sound like a pessimist, but I’m able to recognize the difference between Obama and Shinola.

  3. 3 heather June 15, 2010 at 7:19 am

    Dr Kate

Yes you are right, we have been asleep for too long and even though there is more of us than them, they have all the tools to destroy us. They would use foreign military here…our military would take our side I am sure. That would pit foreign against the US on our soil destroying everything in sight. Foreign fighters could care less what they destroy here unlike ours who uses pin point aiming.

The upper brass can only hide for so long if war were to break out here–where will they hide their families?

This is all a massive nightmare and I am praying I can wake up.

Perhaps we discussed this last week, I am not sure. It is written by Dorothy Rabinowitz from the WSJ and it is called “An Alien in the White House”. Yippee! I saw her live on Fox News this morning and was impressed with what she had to say. Someone who liked Obama finally called it like it is. She realizes he does not share our history and all the apologies and muslim appeasing is because he does not understand America and what we stand for. I wish there was some way of contacting her and giving her MORE information on the Fraud-in-Chief sitting in the Oval Office.

  5. 5 tiger 7 June 15, 2010 at 8:10 am

Hey guys there’s always hope—if the Nov. elections don’t provide a brighter future, then the possibility of a military coup is always present. The military is indeed divided as is the congress, but the “Doers” in the military are the mainstay. They have had their fill of bho and his crowd.
    Illigitimi non carborundum !!!

  6. 6 no-nonsence-nancy June 15, 2010 at 8:29 am

If we don’t do something very soon we will have foreign military(UN) on our soil, in our streets and our faces and then we will have no recourse. How would we fight that? We’re living under tyranny now and it is our right and DUTY to overthrow this tyrannous government. NOW!! The problem is there are so many different ideas and opinions and nobody is really getting a plan together. I think our leader in this is going to be the author of this blog. Everyone in this country should listen to her. Sorry men and I am not a feminist, but wouldn’t it be something if Women took our country back? LOL

    • 7 Rich T. June 16, 2010 at 8:04 am

There have been numerous reports of convoys of UN vehicles through out the country.

The veil they are using is the old cover…military exercises. all they are doing is prepositing troops for the take over and rounding everyone up for the detainment camps.

Check out info wars site for some info on this.

NNN—Guess that means DR. Kate! I agree–let’s roll!

  8. 9 tdr June 15, 2010 at 8:39 am

    QL, and others here.

I started reading all the concerns about the oil leaks so I called a friend of mine who has been an environmental engineer for years at a very large firm and who knows his field inside out. I would like to share some of his thoughts relative to what was discussed in previous thread. Although this may not be the exact situation in this case, i think the following should be considered.

    1. Relative to record flow from the well. The reality is a well cannot produce more than the design rate for production. the prediction being made are by those looking at photos and estimating velocities to convert to flow rates.

    2. Sand and rocks coming from well along with oil and gas, i.e. indication of penetration to a volcanic area?? Not sure if I am stating concern correctly. First, when the well is developed sand and other material is used to form the well, also if you remember, the first tried to plug it with sand. This is what is most likely coming out of the well. The gulf very little volcanic activity located in gulf, if any. Scientists know all volcanically active areas on the ocean floor. The gulf is not one of them.

    3. Affect the area for generations to come. Not necessarily. They need to clean it up.

I am not providing any excuses to how this disaster has been responded to thus far. It is inexcusable. But I do believe there is some exagerated reporting out there and you have to be wary. We have all seen what type of obots are out there to feed false information to control and manipulate. Just hope to calm nerves somewhat. Americans can solve any problem when required. We need to hold the administration accountable and force the right response.

I welcome any other thoughts. I hope everyone understands that I am not trying to dismiss your concerns but am trying to put some perspective on this since some out there never want a crisis to go to waste.

    • 10 susan h June 15, 2010 at 9:20 am

Like Rahm Emanuel always says: Don’t let a good crisis go to waste. So this administration will someone spin and twist it around to use it for its own aims. That is what all the delays, false reporting, lies, exagerations and whatever else they want to turn it into is about. Rather than just fixing it and cleaning it up. However, it may be backfiring to some extent. Even those who supported O are now realizing that he just doesn’t care, is incompetent and we would have been better served with someone else in the WH.

      • 11 tdr June 15, 2010 at 9:41 am

susan h, right, the real message is bho doesnt care. it was mentioned last night on fox news, cant remember which show. a commentator finally said it, that people are begining to think he doesnt care. well hello! it shocked the others. they all want to paint him as incompetent. well what if he really is fully aware of what he is doing and would really love for his legacy to be that he destroyed america? obviously, he must be removed. now arent they all in a pickle. he is playing them like a violin. making them force their hand so he can use another alinsky tatic on them by labeling them racist, etc. well who is coming out looking good in all this? right, gov. brewer. she knows how to play this game. i am beginning to think she would be a good presidencial candidate. maybe a brewer/dk ticket!

  9. 12 heather June 15, 2010 at 8:49 am

tdr-Thanks for the insight of this. Your explanation makes sense and especially the part about the obots making this worse than it is.

However, I will continue to research this as will others I’m sure because I have my doubts. The EPA, MMS, and other agencies allowed a waiver to all the regulations in deep water drilling.

I am far from an engineer or scientist and cannot offer their expertise but can use common sense. If you hear more or talk with your friend again please keep us posted.

OT-listening to Boortz talking to Newt this A.M and it seems that Newt is extremely concerned with barry and his crisis’s. IMHO-all of these politicians have their dirty hands in what has happened and now seem to be running scared, and are calling on the American people to clean up their mess. Imagine that!

    • 13 tdr June 15, 2010 at 9:32 am

exactly. we have to be vigilant because of crony capatalism. as far as newt and company, thay all thought it was politics as usual. well we didn’t. we knew from day one what this was about. would like to believe he really cared but at this point we are on our own.

  10. 14 Al June 15, 2010 at 9:33 am

Another excellent post, DrKate. Two thumbs up to all the Statesmen/genuine patriots who love and respect our nation. Seems a “politician” will be making yet another speech this evening–can this guy do anything else but talk?

    Have a great week, DrKate.

  11. 15 heather June 15, 2010 at 9:51 am

barry never cared about America-it was a coup to take over for the UN, fed res, and others for the NWO and total control to bring in communism, and sharia law for his culture of the muslim world.

He is a plant and a puppet. Far from stupid I might add–only street smart and street smart people ALWAYS lose in the end. Unfortunately it will be at our expense.

  12. 17 susan h June 15, 2010 at 10:05 am

Another Obama supporter is admitting he was wrong to have backed Obama and tells why. Could it be more disenchanted Obies will follow suit?

    • 20 susan h June 15, 2010 at 12:42 pm

Stupid and gullible, like those who were gullible enough to vote for the Fraud-in-Chief. Hopefully, next time around, those same gullible ones will not fall for his stupid rhetoric.

  13. 21 heather June 15, 2010 at 11:37 am

obama stuck on “stupid” lol and then he tells everyone on national tv it’s fine to eat the seafood from the gulf! Can you imagine that! Sure, with all that toxic crap they dumped and all the gas and oil——-sure I will rush right to the nearest seafood store and stock up! What a freaken idiot.

tdr–don’t know–just heard Newst talking about how bad barry is for the country blah blah and that this effects all americans blah blah….which leads me to believe that they all have their hands tied and are appealing to us to stop him and his thugs.

I saw that during the healthcare mess-all the republicans coming on Greta saying how bad this bill was and the looks on their faces told the story. They were all saying that the american people need to step up and continue to protest this. Tells me that they don’t or can’t handle him and we need to stand up.

I am sick of them and sick of getting screwed by them. They stole all of our retirement money right out of GE–who conveniently now is in bed with them. I guess GE emptied our money into their pockets. Just follow the money, its everywhere!

    • 22 tdr June 15, 2010 at 11:51 am

right, all i get in the mail are requests for money so that can stop the agenda. well what are you getting paid for now? lol.

    • 23 JJ June 15, 2010 at 3:33 pm

I have a freezer with lots of fish—I’m sure it was processed long before the contaminants hit..lots come from the Northeast states.

      I hope!!

  14. 24 heather June 15, 2010 at 12:39 pm

tdr–ditto–surveys and requests for money—I do the surveys and cross off the money page and write on it telling them this is their job–and they get paid for doing it. Not only from us-but the bribe money they get as well. These thugs, all of them are no better than the mafia–except they are legalized!

  15. 25 aj June 15, 2010 at 12:43 pm

I live on the gulf coast. Our fishing industry is shut down, tourist industry is in its last throes since our beaches are coated in black gooey oil and our beloved wildlife is gasping for breath. Now enter “too cool to work Obama” with his flashing white teeth. He is eager to get a photo shoot with some cute little beach bunny, but do we have any ideas except “sue baby sue?” I haven’t heard any have you? If it sounds like I am angry, I AM.

    • 26 drkate June 15, 2010 at 12:46 pm

Wow, words cannot express the outrage and mourning for your losses there. My wishes and hopes for your safety and for a miracle in the Gulf Coast.

lamecherry says the solution is more relief wells, many more
aka “drill baby drill” — which was the mantra which Obama’s purpose for sabotage was mounted against! oh the irony, their sabo has gotten beyond them, palin (unbeknownst to herself) wins again in the category of common sense…
and as lamecherry said, if only oilbama hadn’t dithered, golfed, vacayed, partied, concerted and played and tonight will try to milk the catastrophe for more political gain and devastation to the red states (eat the cancer causing seafood too!), if only he had pretended to care early on, he might have gotten away with his sabotage, with American sympathy more on his side…

        too late

        • 28 drkate June 15, 2010 at 2:15 pm

The permanent source of oil found…it is not a fossil fuel…would ruin the cartels!

          • 29 Renee June 15, 2010 at 2:24 pm

God and His world are screaming a message out to the people if they will simply stop looking at everything as a bad thing. Obama the fraud is seeking to cover up a discovery which will return the balance of power to America.

Wake up people, there is freedom in those oil plumes. Help yourselves and mother earth out in releasing this pressure to protect the Gulf and drill baby drill.

From Lame Cherry. DrKate, What say you ? Opinion ? Would that not just take the cake…?? LOL !

            • 30 drkate June 15, 2010 at 2:31 pm

I believe Lame Cherry is right! And yes, it would just perfect… 😆

I have a permanent source. I’m raising the money for a prototype. Anyone want in on it. No it’s not yesterdays worn out wind, solar or bio-fuel.

    • 33 Quantum Leap June 15, 2010 at 3:41 pm

I hear ya aj. I am sick to death over this.
He walks along the beach not polluted with oil yet, doing a photo-op with an obot. Eats snowcone and other junkfood snacks like clamcakes (right after he passed exec order for people to eat healty) and tells people ‘the Gulf is ok, come down and visit.’ So mad I could cry. He’s not in the oil affected areas (18 beaches) So mad I could scream. ‘Couldn’t sleep over this blantant lie. If the Gulf is OK why is there a no fly zone over the area and reporters are banned from taking pictures? So sick of being lied to. We all know he is a serial liar posing on the TV. WTF? How can he boldface lie when the truth is in front of his and our faces? Does he not know the difference between truth and non-truth? Is he that bad?

Angela Merkel says Germany is about to financially implode. Is it true or a lie?
Japan was imploding but now has billions to loan out. 😯
      Sick of this altered reality.
I’m beginning to believe the world has a bunch of liars and we are not on the verge of collapse.

That surely places Barry-Boy right in the “politician” categore … but also makes it clear he is NO “statesman”.

Guess we’ve known that for some time – this just clarifies it!!

  18. 38 Quantum Leap June 15, 2010 at 3:54 pm

While it is virtually impossible for anyone — other than God — to answer the question, “What’s wrong with Obama?”, it is completely within the realm of human observance to see that no matter where he came from or what kind of parents he had, Barack Obama’s character is nothing short of reprehensible.

Where he ought to be hardworking and industrious to the nth degree, he shows himself to be lazy. When he ought to be knuckling under, hard at work at his desk, hammering out decent solutions to the vast array of problems before him, he is partying hardy, having a merry ole time, trotting around the globe, playing golf, shooting backyard hoops, and opining on the latest controversial umpire’s call in a baseball game. When it comes to actual governance, the only word this president knows is “delegate.” When he ought to be consumed with fixing a national disaster in federal waters, which occurred in a federally regulated industry, the best he can come up with to even feign an I-do-really-give-a-darn work ethic is an emotionally contrived use of the A-word.

Oh, please. This is the kind of lazy, no-account attitude demonstrated by every panhandling bum on any street corner. His GQ dress code notwithstanding, Barack Obama has the work ethic of the welfare moms for whom he has shown his only real empathy to date. In a president, this character deficit is not only pitiful, but it is also downright despicable.

Obama is not only not a statesman, he is an enemy of this country!

    • 41 Quantum Leap June 15, 2010 at 5:37 pm

I am so disgusted by him I can barely breathe or speak.
And the illegals were rallying with signs yesterday screaming and begging they want communism in USA. Does this make sense? I’m confused.

  21. 42 heather June 15, 2010 at 5:02 pm

I know it’s not nice to hate anyone—but I can honestly say that I hate him.

Germany is on ther verge of collapse, Greece, Spain – wonder who will print more money.

hmmm-confusing, if one has no money and someone gives them the money where does that money originate from—–the money we used to have in our pockets before they stole it, and then they charge interest.

what a ponzi scheme! are we ready to rock and roll?

  22. 47 Quantum Leap June 15, 2010 at 5:22 pm

I love that american thinker article soooo much. It’s like salve on a wound.

We may not be able to change Obama’s character, but we can certainly hold him accountable for what happens on his watch. We can apply a great deal of parental pressure in the form of public demonstrations, letters, phone calls, and hounding the press for more accountability, and in this fashion, we can provide an incentive for the president to change his behavior. President Obama ought to be getting the message about now that he has fooled far too many for far too long, but that the accountability-buck has now landed squarely in his lap. Barack Obama is now beholden to three hundred million Americans, each of us holding an IOU for diligent service — whether little Barry feels up to the job he took or not.

It was also uncanny that Barky’s speech last night was the mirror image of that one long ago.
At abut the 5:30 mark, Carter talks about setting up a Corporation, etc.

tdr–sure don’t like it. we have insurance and its good and also not overly expensive. next year we are ALL paying for his insurance at $250 a pay period taken out of our bank accounts by the irs. that is when i will close my accounts and go back to money orders for bill paying.

My husbands employer had called the WH this past Jan and told them what they offered for insurance and they were told it was a approved plan of the WH. But–we will eventually go to that single payer designed by pelosi and once we all get to medicare we then have the death panels to worry about. I spent my lifetime paying into that ponzi scheme called ss and medicare and i want my moneys worth not some creep telling me i am too old and can’t have it. Same goes for all disabled people–they will be on the death panel list. This is called population control!
