Was this event Krakatoa, Iceland, or is it the Gulf of Mexico oil leak brought on intentionally and with disregard for all life on the Gulf Coast?
The Gulf Coast disaster is unfolding before my our eyes, and it may be that event of biblical proportions; certainly it is not something to pass off. I want to take action now, but what? American Politics 101 aired a show on June 16 that is a must listen, and can be found here.
Today the BP executive is being ‘grilled’ before congress. Like a bright light, it becomes very clear that Congress thinks its doing its job by sounding all bravado and grilling a company executive. No, ‘hearings’ in Congress are nothing more thanshow time.
What the bravado covers is our own government’s abject failure to anticipate, respond to, or protect the American people from this disaster:
- The Interior Department, specifically the scandalous Minerals Management Service and their fiasco known as the “Gulf of Mexico Drilling Program“, waived environmental requirements by a “finding of no significant impact” for the BP well…one that had never been done before and underwater. 😯
- The Environmental Protection Agency and their lack of oversight, objection, or calling attention to this issue;
- The Department of Energy which pushes development with no attention paid to the consequences;
- NOAA as a johnny-come-lately and forgetting to protect marine waters and resources of the United States…why was the ‘stovepipe’ mentality allowed to prevail?
Obama and Congress use this disaster to further their agenda…ban drilling altogether; pass carbon taxes; ‘shake down’ BP for 20 billion dollars; nationalize the oil industry. And most importantly,In they fail to act.
In their failure to act, they are poisoning millions of people in the Gulf Coast, 17 million in Florida alone. They have shown that they do not deserve to hold their seats in office. I don’t want them ‘fixing’ this, they are incapable! 😡

I agree with your feeling of urgency, Dr. Kate, that something has to be done to try to clean up the gulf coast, protect the sea life and most importantly protect the people living down there, especially in Florida. But this administration is blocking every effort to so that. My feeling is that nothing substantial can be accomplished on that front until our White House is emptied of these scroundrals who have bombarded themselves in it. We need to do that IMMEDIATELY!!!

Corexit contains 2-butoxyethanol which is banned in Europe, is a respiratory toxin, and causes greater uptake of polyaromatic hydrocarbons into seafood. So when Obama says to “eat up!” they may test for 2-butoxyethanol but won’t find it, ignoring the potent carcinogens concentrated into fish and seafood. As we know benzene is pouring out along with the oil, which is a complex set of hydrocarbons, many which are known carcinogens. Benzene is a carcinogen. This is slow murder on top of the swift kill in the gulf.
Was it somehow all planned? The Obama knew there were potential dangerous safety problems and did nothing. Right before the spill he said he was in favor of offshore drilling. I thought that was kind of strange since right before that he was so against it. Was this all to make himself sound good, like he would have liked to have more drilling, but oh dear, this disaster is stopping me from letting it happen. It’s all too perfect a storm for Obama, and then he can use to try and push Cap and Trade regulations and taxes and stop drilling. I don’t trust him and something doesn’t ring true about the ‘accidental nature’ of the disaster. It was an accident but was it a planned one?

Does anyone know just when BP drilled this well? Was it after Obama usurped the Oval Office? I read where Russia has been drilling deep in their oceans for a couple of years successfully and that is why BP did it. They just had no idea how much pressure was behind the oil in the Gulf.

Heather, thanks for all the info on BP. I knew that Obama allowed them to slide on regulations but I wasn’t sure when the well was drilled. So it is Obama’s baby altogether. And they continue to allow these oil companies to be slack on regulations even after this disaster! I saw a video clip, maybe on here yesterday, where Russia in the 1970s fixed an oil well blowout by hitting it with a small nuclear device deep in the ground right next to the base of the well. In about 22 seconds the blowout was stopped and no radiation was detected on the ground level.
The next thing the coast guard is going to try, rubber from tires, golf balls, etc, that is so laughable. These people are complete idiots.
I once thought bho was smart—and as my Father used to say, the worst kind of s o b is a smart s o b. However, now I think bho is dumb as a box of rocks. The absolute and total bungling of the oil spill is pretty illuminating. If he were smart, he would have called upon all available resources and would have stopped the leak quickly—it would have been very possible. Instead of becoming the great hero of the disaster, he is now the butt of the blame. Not smart at all!!
Also, this administrative disaster has emboldened some of the brotherhood of politicians to become more vocal regarding bho’s eligibility. Some 13 pols have gone to some degree of questioning his validity. A lot of this talk relates to passing legislation re. credentials—all that really needs to be done is enforce the existing requirements of the Constitution. Typical politician approach—the ratchet only works in one direction, more laws.

I appreciate all that you do, but I think people need to be very cautious about what information they hear and what is verifiable. I have listened to Lindsey Williams on both Alex Jones’ show and American Politics 101 thanks to the links you provided. Pastor Williams has consistently said that the EPA has estimated benzene levels at 3000ppb. This is absultely false. There are no EPA estimates that say that. When asked on American Politics where he was getting these estimates, Pastor Williams said the EPA and you can find them on the web. He has never pointed anyone to the reports that show benzene levels at the levels Pastor Williams’ claims.
I found numerous reports on the EPA website between the dates of Jnue 11 and June 12, and none of them report levels that Pastor Williams claims. Here is one such report:

It is imperative that we always seek the truth. I don’t even subscribe to the trust but verify proposition as I rarely trust what I am being told, but we have to seek information and deal in truth. I can find no verifiable evidence to support Pastor Williams’ claims. If his numbers were correct, and if his claims were correct regarding his numbers being verifiable with the EPA, why does he not provide the link where one can find those numbers? I have to conclude because the links don’t exist. What Pastor Williams is saying is not verifiable with the EPA.
I encourage everyone to remain reasonable and seek truth.
Thank you Kim, and I appreciate this cautionary note. I know for certain that EPA is not releasing the truth on this, just like the Exxon Valdez and 911. I do not believe he got this information from EPA, however, so I think someone must be doing some sampling there.
I also know there are verifiable reports of nosebleeds, respiratory problems, and other side-effects being reported by VOC’s. Finally, with the kind of oil and gases being released, the “light” stuff volatilizes, and the heavy oil ends up on shore. The “light’ stuff is what is poisoning people there. So much so that the companies better start skimming the volatiles off the surface of the water before they spread even more. If you want to think about $$, the gases are where the dollars are. And BP knows it.

Listen to Dan ask him on more than one occasion on where to find the facts of the benzene levels. Lindsay Williams never tells you where to find them, just that they are EPA readings and on the web.
I concede that we don’t have enough information about the spill. I concede that people may be getting sick as a result of what is in the atmosphere as a result of this spill, but I will not concede that Lindsay Williams has any credibility. While we all work together to restore our country and to look at the facts before us, we must dismiss those like Lindsay Williams who provide you with no substantiated facts. That’s all I’m saying Dr. Kate. Keep up the good fight, and keep pursuing the truth!
Kim, I didn’t misinterpret what you said…I understand that Lindsay Williams used this chemical data, and did not answer the question where it came from. So I said I don’t think he is getting it from the EPA.

Someone did suggest that to Barry-but he has declined so far. Problem is the well is so deep and so full of pressure that it has caused fractures on the ocean bed and below. They drilled into the magma for crying out loud. What the heck were they thinking and why those 3 agencies waived the regulations and Barry waived them too, is beyond unthinkable.
If by chance they do nuke it, I would hope that all the people get out of the way. Operation wigwam 1945-San Diego, my father was on one of the ships when they used nukes there and 6600 civils and military were all too close and used no protective clothing or glasses, and they all ended up throughout the years with major radiation fall out problems. My father died of kidney cancel, lukemia, diabetes, and heart disease, from that fallout and the rest all suffered throughout their lives with other major diseases.
So nuking the ocean floor really is not the solution. Where are all the smart asses that have these ivy league degrees?

Bush was feared by the leaders of the other countries. For some reason, I think he had their respect. No one respects barry.
Clinton had some respect but not now. No one really ever talks about Clinton except when he’s jetting off to make millions on a stupid speech.
But Bush had an aura about him and when he spoke he spoke to that person, not to the teleprompter! That’s all barry does, talk to the prompter and everyone sees through him and they all know he is illegal. They probably wonder how in the world did these Americans vote him in! They know he is evil and they know his dirty tricks are always left up to someone else to do.
Everyone knows barry is not a NBC and yet there he sits in the oval office.

There are some very impressive women surfacing in conservative politics now. I can’t say that the same holds true for the men.
The Arizona law suit is a great big mistake by the DoJ clowns—Gov. Brewer and her supporters will be the heros of that skirmish.

Lastly, my favorite, Jan Brewer can send AZ state police, sheriffs and AZ National Guard to secure the border, deport the illegals and send Obama the bill for the cost of effectuating immigration laws, border patrol and expenses of providing health care and education to illegals and their children. If Obama does not pay, she can use her inherent executive powers and AZ state powers of eminent domain to take in eminent domain federal holdings in Az and to put a lien on all IRS Federal government payments of the citizens of AZ in lieu of the moneys owed to AZ by the federal government.

Gov Brewer is awesome–she wrote that law to mimic the federal immigration law and barry and holder either can’t read or refuses to read the federal law.
One cannot sue for mimicing the fed law–the federal govt is supposed to protect and defend us and our borders and they are encouraging illegal immigration.

Heather, I wasn’t aware that the Russians have nuked their deep oil wells. The video I saw was from the 70s and it was a well on land. It looked like a pretty barren area. it definitely wouldn’t do to nuke this one.
It’s my impression that Benzene isn’t safe at any level.
The nuke was ‘successful’ because it was on land. This would be disaster in the Gulf coast
NNN–I will try to locate that article and post it, but I could have sworn they said they nuked them in the sea.
