And if Gallup is right, it implies an almost unprecedented Republican sweep on Tuesday. As Emory University political scientist Alan Abramowitz explains via email, “Republicans have never had anything close to a 15-point popular vote margin in the past 80 years.” Their biggest national margin in that period was “7 points in 1946, followed by a 6 point margin in 1994.” A 15-point majority this year, he adds, “would probably result in a gain of close to 80 seats and between 250 and 260 GOP seats in the new House, more than in any Congress since the 1920s.

OH AND INFIGHTING AT OBOTS FIREDOGLAKE: I don’t go there but they have a campaign to stop insameobama from running again.

I don’t see how kingobama’s group can win much even if they cheat. Obots told me to my face the polls were rigged in Dem’s favor to hide the vote fraud.

Republican Candidates Call for Repeal of Seventeenth Amendment

Republican candidates in more than a half-dozen states have called for the repeal of the 17th Amendment, which was ratified in 1913 and which provides for the direct election of U.S. senators. Prior to the amendment, senators were designated by state legislatures.

“People would be better off if senators, when they deliver their messages to Washington, remember the sovereignty of the states,” Mike Lee, who supports repeal, told reporters recently. Mr. Lee is a Republican running for the U.S. Senate from Utah.

Proponents of repeal say the amendment wrecked the founding fathers’ balance between national and state governments, removing one of the last checks to unbridled power in Washington. Opponents counter that direct election of senators, long a goal of the Progressive movement of that era, expanded democracy.

I’m up early this morning and feeling nervous.

The polls sound too good to be true and I just know that there will be a lot of cheating going on. The dems have their lawyers lined up and in those states where the results are close, they will find a way to steal it. Remember Al Frankin.

I’ll be going out to vote in a little while. Hubby and I will both vote republican.

It’s going to be a looooong day!

  11. 15 dkwtexas November 2, 2010 at 8:24 am

Was way to excited to sleep this morning. Went to vote and the line was out the door @ 7:00am. Unheard of in my town. This will be a day of FREEDOM!! DrKate have you heard that Michelle Bachmaan will be starting a weekly constitution class in the House and Mark Levin will be one of the teachers? I bet this will chap all the butts of those commies up there. teehee!!

  12. 17 no-nonsense-nancy November 2, 2010 at 9:05 am

I voted early this morning in my small town. It looks like it will be a good turnout. We only have a little over 500 regisered voters in my precinct. Let’s hope for the best. Tonight my 912 Meetup group is having a get together to either celebrate or cry. I think we will be celebrating.

I’m more worried about tomorrow and what will happen after that. I don’t trust that bast*** and his ilk. They are up to no good. I still say they need to stop him before he gets on that plane. I’m afraid that if he gets out of the country we won’t be able to prosecute him. He must know it is coming. And what will happen to Terry Lakin and Walter Fitzpatrick? Will they go to prison or be hung in limbo indefinately?

Rich T, I hope Homeland security isn’t regionalizing supplies to feed all of us tea party patriots after they round us up and put us in the Fema camps! Do you suppose that is what they are up to?

QL, I’m glad the Pumas are finally coming around. I started out as a Puma, even went out Denver in 2008. I don’t visit their sites very much anymore. I have so much else to read and I think they stayed in the middle ages, so to speak. Except I do read hillaryis44. I like that.

I pray that the move will be continued the end result realized before time runs out.

He can’t stand to let anyone else have the spotlight.

Maybe this will be his last appearance in the US.

  16. 22 Troy November 2, 2010 at 12:00 pm

He is not taking 500 people….He is taking THREE THOUSAND!!!!….Spending $200,000,000.00 per day….TWO HUNDRED MILLION!!!!
US to spend $200 mn a day on Obama’s Mumbai visit

Mumbai: The US would be spending a whopping $200 million (Rs. 900 crore approx) per day on President Barack Obama’s visit to the city.

“The huge amount of around $200 million would be spent on security, stay and other aspects of the Presidential visit,” a top official of the Maharashtra Government privy to the arrangements for the high-profile visit said.

About 3,000 people including Secret Service agents, US government officials and journalists would accompany the President. Several officials from the White House and US security agencies are already here for the past one week with helicopters, a ship and high-end security instruments.

TWO HUNDRED MILLION!! That’s outrageoous! One penny is too much.
I say, arrest him before he has a chance to enter that plane!

  19. 31 no-nonsense-nancy November 2, 2010 at 3:23 pm

But I would be afraid that we wouldn’t be able to get him back here to stand trial for treason. He needs to be sent to one of our prisons for the rest of his life. He could still do us damage from afar. And if he resigned non of his laws or Eos would be null and voided.

  21. 37 Quantum Leap November 2, 2010 at 4:50 pm

Insaneobama says, “We don’t mind the Republicans joining us. They can come for the ride, but they gotta sit in back.” f’n racist.

We don’t want to join him. Can we have someone else now?
Someone who can be president to all the people and not just to progressive regressives ❓
Isn’t it Pooplosi’s plan to bunp off insaneobama half way through his first term..yes it is her plan and was revealed during the primaries to some people on the Hillary trail.

I have to calm down after all the campaigning. I’m done now. I have to remember that if the house gets 39 seats Pooploski is history and we are better off.

    Calm? Oh I am calm… 😳 NOT.

Something doesn’t feel right. Maybe it’s his totally expensive trip, maybe not.
Two hundred million dollars spent per day for his entourage while family after family across this nation stand in soup lines for the first time in their life and the homeless exceed more than any at any time in history. Heavy Over-regulations are killing all types of businesses across USA. The red tape and costs are killing America.

….and he wonders why we hate him.

Fraud in MO so they crashed the vote machines to hide it when people were screaming.

  23. 41 Stock November 2, 2010 at 5:38 pm

As you look at the results tonight-keep in mind that wherever a Rino or a Dem still exists- are areas which are hotbeds of welfare recipients or people who believe that their pork is good pork and f-the best interests of our Nation.
We must continue to pull them out by their roots-with each election cycle-eliminate the Traitors who brought us and condoned the Usurper and who knowingly and willfully violated the Constitution and nearly destroyed the Nation. We should do an ongoing count of how many of the 535 of Jan 09 still remain-each cycle.
Do not quit, do not compromise, do not look to single issues that end up being nuanced-that has been the key-when we focus on a Government of core Conservative principles we will create a lasting foundation for our recovery (of our National Soul)
One day-hopefully sooner than later-we will be rid of the Imposter in Chief-along with every one of his illegal acts-It is a pity that his evil and illegitimate existence will apparently still be recorded in the history of our Nation. Maybe #44 will be erased and there will be only an asterisk by that number.

Not all the votes are in yet in NV (only 40% of the precincts reporting), and Reid only won in two counties……Clark (Las Vegas) , and Washoe (Reno). Every other county was strongly for Sharron Angle (in some it was 3 or 2 to 1). Both Reno and Las Vegas are populated with ex-Californians that migrated here during the housing boom. Maybe they’ll go back now that their hero, Gov. Moonbeam is back in business.

    Fernley Girl says:

11,368 idiots in NV voted for “none of these candidates”. How stupid is that???

    Fernley Girl says:
    November 3, 2010 at 12:17 am (Edit)
Only 26% of Clark county votes have been counted as of 10:13 pm. That’s a lot of votes. For now I’m gonna keep on hoping for an Angle victory.
