“The Animated Contest of Liberty” vs. Cloward-Piven & “Democracy”

©2017 drkate

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.” ― Samuel Adams, 1776

In my view the animated contest of liberty is about how we assure our liberty in the context of our constitution and our changing society. It is not about insults, threats, restriction of free speech, or assaults just because we think differently.  This is what the intolerance of the left has brought us.

Stock Photo of the Consitution of the United States and Feather QuillWe have been in  a rarefied time in America in the last eight years, where we have knowingly been steadily attacked by the left.  Institutions, the family, God, the Constitution, our history, common sense, everything we knew to be American and America was denigrated, trashed, destroyed, mocked, and belittled.  While this assault has been underway for a very long time, the difference now is that many Americans have eyes to see  and ears to hear. No doubt Divine Intervention has assisted this awakening and all Glory to Him for this opportunity.

As this attack has been underway, our references to our Republic have receded into the background as the discussion is now about “our Democracy“.  Everyone uses that term but it is not correct, and if we don’t correct the language we’ll never understand what a Republic is.  In more stark terms, our Constitutional Republic has now turned into mob rule, the very definition of  “democracy”.  No democracy has lasted in history, it always devolves into chaos.  And that is where we are right now, on the brink of chaos.

The change from Republic to Democracy as terms for America is as dangerous as it seems and is no small matter.  It has been a goal of anarchists, communists, the elite, and the globalists to destroy the strength of America.  Cultural Marxism  has been used silently and through peer pressure, Hollywood, and institutions of “higher” education against America to essentially promote moral decay.

In 2008 we were talking about Obama’s use of Alinsky tactics in community organizing.  Then we knew Obama’s pronouncements of “fundamentally changing America” meant something devastating was coming to America. And we knew also of the the more “organized chaos” approach with the Cloward-Piven Strategy (1966), a technique of revolution initiated in the late 60’s that sought to publicly fight poverty but privately to overwhelm institutions making them unable to function without promoting welfare.  According to Discover the Networks,

The authors noted that the number of Americans subsisting on welfare — about 8 million, at the time — probably represented less than half the number who were technically eligible for full benefits. They proposed a “massive drive to recruit the poor onto the welfare rolls.”  Cloward and Piven calculated that persuading even a fraction of potential welfare recipients to demand their entitlements would bankrupt the system. The result, they predicted, would be “a profound financial and political crisis” that would unleash “powerful forces for major economic reform at the national level.”

“Economic reform” is basically replacing capitalism with socialism.  This of course melds perfectly with the Communist Party’s 50 steps of toppling America.

Obama’s implementation of Cloward-Piven to fundamentally change America led to  a border invasion, refugee invasion, mass shootings, economic ruination of small business, drug trafficking all overwhelming our social, healthcare, emergency, and government resources.  AKA, the intentional destruction of America.

As author Joan Swirsky opines, there was a  Coup and Counter-coup during the years 2008-2016

In 2009, America experienced a genuine coup d’état, exquisitely formulated and flawlessly executed after decades of planning by the socialists, communists, and jihadists among us who loathe America and have wished for nothing less than transforming our great country into a mecca of far-left, anti-American policies, punctuated by preposterous liberal constructs like political correctness and multiculturalism, and ultimately subservient to Sharia law.

A Watershed Year 2016

Now that the left and elite have been somewhat exposed in their tactics–and desperation–and were rejected and summarily defeated in this battle by the Americans in 2016, they resort to not recognizing our institutions, i.e., elections, electoral college and Congress, to delegitimize our 45th President Donald J. Trump.  Swirsky again:

In winning the election, he blocked the left’s ability to use some of its favorite intimidation tactics. It no longer controls an accommodating federal bureaucracy. It no longer runs a Justice Department willing to threaten political opponents and turn a blind eye to liberal abuse. So the left will increasingly rely on campaigns of delegitimization…this is the best they’ve got.”

And they threaten to make it their “first” to have a violent transition of power, disrespecting America and our traditions. Short of their intended property destruction, violence, harassment, and continued stalking, the left has gone as far as it can to show us exactly how much they hate America.  Does anyone need any more proof?

Just as they swamped America’s welfare offices in the 1960s, Cloward-Piven devotees now seek to overwhelm the nation’s understaffed and poorly policed electoral system. Their tactics set the stage for the Florida recount crisis of 2000, and have introduced a level of fear, tension and foreboding to U.S. elections heretofore encountered mainly in Third World countries.

We have in 2017 overcome those forces to elect a man who has given us a glimpse—of the liberty we have lost and perhaps the first chance in decades we’ve had to truly fight for it and which a Republic brings.  It is not much different than the time Sam Adams spoke the above.

One thing none of them counted on was the tremendous sophistication of voters across the country––the same voters they’re still disparaging––who had been watching the devolution of our county for eight years and praying and waiting for at least one sane person to save our country from the malignant leftism in our body politic that Mr. Obama so relentlessly stoked…So the left will increasingly rely on campaigns of delegitimization…this is the best they’ve got.

Our Work is Just Beginning

All Glory goes to God for this wonderful victory of Donald J. Trump!

It’s time to identify and root out this mindset among us and our local institutions and get about the business of defeating those who would destroy us…perhaps using both Alinksy and Cloward Piven against them?  I bet 8 in 10 liberals will not know what we are doing.

Lock him out

The first time I remember hearing over and over from all news, the term “democracy” was when hillary was running against obat. The MSM especially continued to repeat it over and over. If you went out and questioned several million Americans as to whether we are a Republic or a democracy, I wager to say they would pick democracy and would never be able to explain the difference.

    May God help us all.

Dr Kate: Your article was great. Your explanation and insight of
what has been going on in our republic contained such verisimilitude,
and a chance(for me) to use big word learned in high school. You
would probably have settled for “truth”, but your great writing deserved
    the biggest word.

Very good, Kate. have had discussions with my liberal daughter about democracy vs republic and she doesn’t listen to me. Joan Sworsky has a very good article today in Canada Free Press today along these same lines.
It is for sure, all the glory goes to God in this election!

Yes, many quotes and references in this post are linked to Joan’s great post!

I thought they sounded familiar but I didn’t go back to it to check. I always like her articles also. You two think a lot alike.

Democracy. I posted about that vs Republic a few posts ago….All of these so called politicians and barry soetoro is #1 for referring to us as a democracy always all day. I know barry/obama knows the difference and yet he consistantly calls us a democracy, I guess hoping his morons caught on.

It’s time we the people push our title as Democratic Republic and hope these morons get it.

      Constitutional republic….

I firmly believe the antics of Alinsky and Cloward=Piven also ocntributed to “equal rights”, “equal voices”, and “spread the wealth” mantras,,,whch degraded equal opportunity to equal outcome, and promoted the use of the word “democracy”…

I heard this from Rush this afternoon and was so uplifted by what this man wrote about and his feelings towards afirmative action, and reparations so to speak I had to research him. He is so right – whites need to stand up like Trump did and welcome the blacks to his presidency and how he wants to help them achieve what they have missed their entire lives. We are all human and really thats all that should matter.

The democrats have kept the black in slavery for decades with all the freebies they have thrown at them when they should have freed them to let them stand for themselves. They have taken their manhood away from them. Should we wonder how and why their is so much racism in the US today. It was designed this way by the democrats.

The auto collapse (coming), the housing collapse, the college tuition collapse–all brought to us by financial incompetence??
I rather call it ‘calculated’ collapse.

  7. 15 JJ January 17, 2017 at 10:33 am

I recall an article about the fraud in our white house attending a meeting with a bank official/mortgage broker and parading around the desk, yelling, threatening with break-ins and destroying records and files to achieve ‘relaxed’ lending–this is what the idiots elected…twice.
These blacks have probably still not realised they were used by that community organizer.
The housing collapse was used to destroy, destabalize this nation, and enrich the wealthy/elite.

  8. 16 Heather January 17, 2017 at 11:31 am

Yes it was–congress writes the mortgage guidelines based on rates from banks. Mortgage brokers follow the guidelines therefore it was congress who brought the housing collapse. I know I was a mortgage broker for 20 years and hillary and obama destroyed that industry. To this day the industry hasnt come back.

I’m torturing myself again. I’m watching the senate conformation hearing of Betsy DeVos. The libtards are really showing their stuff. I hope I still have a computer tomorrow, that my screen isn’t smashed.
Tim Kane is questioning now. To think this guy could have been president!! Very scary!!

  10. 18 no-nonsense-nancy January 17, 2017 at 6:27 pm

The dems are fighting with the committee chair because they want another round of questions. I’m ashamed of my senator. He is conducting it the same way Obama’s nominees were confirmed.

  11. 20 no-nonsense-nancy January 18, 2017 at 6:03 am

I guess I’ll go for more anger this morning. the same committee is interrogating Price. At least Sen Alexander, the chair, is fair.

I love that the celebrities are being told they make a living by pretending to be someone else. It’s about time they are put in their place. To degrade the very people who provide their livelihood is despicable.

obama is on fox giving a press briefing will he ever get off of tv!

  14. 25 Heather January 18, 2017 at 7:04 pm

One of my FB friends just posted this. I don’t know if all of the facts are accurate but they probably are.

Just an interesting historical note: When Abraham Lincoln was voted into office in 1860, some in the nation were so incensed, that 7 southern states seceded from the Union. In addition, because he saw himself a man of the people, he chose to take a long train ride from his home to Washington DC for his inauguration. A plot was devised to destroy the train and railroad so Lincoln could not be sworn in. This did not happen, as a man named Pinkerton, of the now famous Pinkerton Detective Agency foiled the plan. Point being: Though many today are trying to disrupt or even prevent the inauguration of Donald Trump, this has happened before in our history. And Abraham Lincoln has gone down in American history as one of the best presidents ever elected. If we actually understood our history, we would be much more settled with the current situation. The South was sure it was taking the high road by attempting to prevent Lincoln’s inauguration. History has shown otherwise

  16. 29 no-nonsense-nancy January 18, 2017 at 7:38 pm

George Washington also went through some of the same turmoil that Trump is going through. I’m currently reading a book about him. I see a few likenesses between the two and some differences but a lot of his government and the people turned against Washington. He was, of course, voted in unanimously both times but some turned against him, including Jefferson and Madison. He was very slow in making decisions and consulted with many people before making them. That was a good trait in a way. He thought things out thoroughly. His fellow Virginians became so critical of him that at one point when the northern states were threatening to leave the union he said that if the union split up he would go with the north. His entire presidency was a big heartache and headache to him. I hope and pray that that won’t be the case with Trump
Most people then and probably now don’t realize how serving his country hurt Washington financially. He was really broke. He had to borrow some money to travel to NY for his first inauguration Not taking any pay for serving as commander of the Continental Army put him really in the hole. He tried not to let it be known. Even though Martha was very wealthy when they got married they liked to have nice things and spent a lot of money… .

NNN thanks for the history lessen! Good job on a night like tonight-1 more day for our freedom with a business man called Donald J Trump! We the people waited years for this and finally this man stepped forward. I thank God for Trump and am humbled by all of this. Miracles happen only through our Lord.

    • 31 no-nonsense-nancy January 19, 2017 at 6:53 am

Yes, Heather, Donald Trump is a gift from God and that is why I know He will keep he and Mike Pence safe today and tomorrow. I’m sure the excitement of watching them taking the oath of office will make all the tortuous hours of watching congressional hearings worth while!

      • 32 no-nonsense-nancy January 19, 2017 at 7:02 am

There is so much more to tell about George Washington. He was a very complex man with so many passions and some faults also. I recommend reading the book I am reading. It is very long, over 900 pages. It is called George Washington The Life by Ron Chernow. When I get frustrated with our country and world troubles I always seem to go back in time to our beginning. Somehow it smooths my soul.

  18. 35 no-nonsense-nancy January 19, 2017 at 9:10 am

OR needs to get rid of Ron Wyden. He is a total ass. I’m watching the hearing of Steve Mnuchin, Treas Sec nominee. I don/t think this is going to be very easy for him.

    • 36 Heather January 19, 2017 at 9:41 am

the dems are stalling these nominations to the last minute and i agree i think its going to be very hard for steve mnuchin–am watching too. and rick perry.

      • 37 no-nonsense-nancy January 19, 2017 at 9:50 am

They attack this guy and look at some we have had, like Geitner who stole from our treasury. I have to say I am impressed by Hatch today. How are they treating Rick Perry?

Yesterday Tucker interviewed Tami Bruce, a talk show radio host in the Hollywood area of CA.
Tami shed some light on the garbage being spewed out of the Hollywood “Elite”. Tami said that in the past few years revenue has fallen from movies. This past year was really rough. She said that Hollywood was fully expecting Hillary to Nationalize the theater like they did in the EU.
