Watershed Politics

One of my favorite thinkers on how to solve problems is Albert Einstein (1879-1955).  His work is so fundamentally about the stuff of life–energy–that mathematical principles and concepts have much application today even to the movement of ideas and people, as discussed in this piece on Einstein and Revolution.

His most famous equation, E = mC², the mass-energy equation, describes that a small change in mass (m) times the speed of  light squared (C²) creates  large energy increases.  If light is equated with  ‘consciousness’, then even a small amount of mass (number of people) with elevated awareness can create increased energy…that energy taking multiple forms.  That a small change in consciousness or mass (numbers of people) produces large changes in available energy is one of the significant points for this essay.

The anti-Americans who have attacked our country have used fear, unlawful force, and artificial authority to accomplish their agenda and they continue to use the same tools today. Such treatment, states Einstein in referring to schools,

destroys the sound sentiments, the sincerity and the self-confidence of pupils and produces a subservient subject.

If we follow the laws of physics natural law, for every action there is an equal but opposite reaction.  So the fear, unlawful force, and artificial authority used by our opponents  will produce in us the opposite: acts of  fearlessness, heroism, bravery, and courage; lawful force; and genuine, natural, unaffected, and unpretentious authority.

A Watershed Moment

An acute awareness penetrates our existence now; we have reached a point of no return as our consciousness of this moment in history envelops our being.  This has been foretold in many traditions, and the vision for America as seen by George Washington –whether you believe it or not–is now so eerily present as the third and most dangerous challenge to our Union.

You and I were born to be here at this moment, to bear witness, and to be a part of the re-founding of the American Republic.  Every hopeful avenue of customary constitutional redress has been pursued, only to be dashed upon the rocks, over a period of years, not just recently. We are experiencing similar challenges, much like our Founders did but now in a 21st century world.

I call this a watershed moment for the American Republic…those who sing the same song know this as a watershed moment for individuals…the decision point, the turning point…

In keeping with Einstein’s outlook on how we might approach this watershed moment–which has so many components and facets–I wondered if there was a natural parallel we might use that could create a different thinking on how to solve the perils of this moment.

The term watershed, as used in a geographic sense, refers to the region or area drained by a stream or river system.  It is typically bounded by ridges, or ‘divides’ that separate one river system from another.  In a watershed, or catchment, all the precipitation that falls is directed  toward a main outlet, and it may travel overland or underneath the surface eventually emerging into the stream.  The Colorado River watershed, encompassing five states, is shown on the right. The map shows the major tributaries of the Colorado, each of which are their own watersheds, but the entire area shaded in yellow contributes to the Colorado River.

How Watersheds Function

By natural law, of course. And the Supreme Court really has nothing to say about it. 🙂

Beyond the fact that water flows downhill, except when money is involved, a watershed is a unit of land, where water, fauna, flora, insects, and microorganisms  function together and are interdependent.  The  configuration of the watershed system, that is the number, shape, orientation and size of tributaries, is determined by the underlying geology.  Some rocks–sandstone– erode more quickly than others–granite.  South-facing watersheds receive more sun than north facing watersheds, resulting in different dominant types of vegetation and soils.

The first parallel to draw is that although watersheds may vary in shape and number of tributaries, it is the water that is central to its function. The land, our foundation, is shaped by water.  For America, that “water” is our Constitution, the liberty enshrined in a document that lives within our veins.  The Constitution, built upon a faith in our Creator-God, was meant to affect all parts of our lives–our life landscape–as a guide to how we grew and evolved, how we interrelated with one another…how we kept the ideas needed and flushed those not consistent with the Constitution out to the sea.

Watershed Disruption

Like Einstein’s mass-energy equation, a small change in one part of the watershed system can produce exponential changes in the character energy water balance of the entire watershed, thus leading to landscape change.  For water carries the main energy to change the landscape; change the balance of that energy or water and the landscape can change rapidly.

A flood, produced by rain or snowmelt in the watershed, is a hydrologic event of limited time duration but produces potentially significant and devastating landscape change on both a local and watershed scale.  The energy of water flow erodes, transports, and deposits tons of sediment and its associated chemicals even during one flood event.

Small changes in or restrictions in the flow of water, or an increase, decrease  or change in the intensity of precipitation in the watershed can produce large changes in the shape of the landscape over which the water flows and the shape of the stream courses themselves.  “Stream capture” is shown in the diagram on the left. A single large stream flow event causes one stream to erode its way upstream, eventually capturing the other stream causing the stream to actually change its course.

The Foreign Rain

Oh beautiful, for spacious skies, for amber waves of grain…

Consider that the landscape of our America was shaped by our Constitution, the very blood and water of our country. Its ridges, scars, and valleys, our high and low points;  the flow of water our character, resilience, responsibility, institutions, development, growth, inventiveness, entrepreneurial spirit…our exceptionalism. Carving our path on this God-given ground.

Upon this hallowed ground–nothing more than a chessboard to some– a dark rain has fallen for decades…it is falling and now drenching.  I remember being in the wilderness for weeks on horseback, wondering what the black ‘goo’ was on the vegetation and the rocks.  This rain has fallen on the young sprouts, the leaves, the land, into the streams… now flowing as a torrent of black mud oozing through the doorsteps and windowsills.  This foreign rain has turned into  raging torrents,undermining the foundations of the landscape, the bridges,washing away whole sections of houses, lands, businesses, people, animals, all with  swift, sudden, and brutal force.

This foreign rain, and the raging torrents it produces, are attempting to capture that stream and dream known as America.  It is trying to erode our landscape, our system, in order to capture liberty and train it into a controlled system of slavery, where the course of everyone’s life is determined by a single train of thought–communism, new world orderism.  Think of how the Cloward-Piven strategy works to erode societal institutions; how monetary policy destroys the resilience of our landscape–and ourselves; and how the ever-present NWO educational system erodes and corrodes the very basis of America. The intent is to wash the landscape clean of anything that resembles our sovereignty, our exceptionalism, our individual liberty, our America.

The NWO has intentionally created these devastating torrents to undermine sovereignty, liberty, and freedom…indeed I have felt that the very foundation of our country is threatened…and with increasing force.

Does the NWO think it is God, such that it can flood the world with poison rain and torrential rivers to destroy all of creation, and refashion it to its liking (and control)?

Watershed Resilience

It is never advisable to stand in a stream and attempt to stop the flood; once it starts it is not possible to control its course. The only possible escape is to higher ground, and the only way to minimize the damage of a flood is to–in advance–strengthen the foundations of homes and the physical resilience of the watershed.  One throws life-lines to those caught in the torrent unaware of the danger; for many there is no escape.

It is every blade of grass; every tree with deep roots, every leaf, and every person that must be strengthened…think of the words, the roots of our America, the shape of our lives and understanding of liberty…all of which must be strengthened if we are to rebuild what was and is innundated.  Even with the best plan, there will always be little ‘nick points’ by which a small stream can turn into an immense erosive force.

If the seeds of our foundation are washed away, the regeneration of the landscape, the watershed, can only next occur by fire.  Like a pine cone, which can only produce or release the seeds of a future tree through fire, it will be fire that follows the flood of this plague across America.  A cleansing fire–will it be physical fire, or spiritual fire? Or both?  Red and black colors…fire and smoke…

Building the Patriot’s Ark

Looking at our circumstance through the lens of a ‘watershed’, the tributaries  (articles and amendments) that create the river of the Constitution, have been under attack for a long time.  Weak points, or ‘nick points’, have been created or exploited to turn the strength into uncontrolled destruction and waste.

The breach of Article II–a ‘dam’ or fire wall ensuring security for our nation—has turned the presidency into an arm of destruction, reaching into every tributary (article, amendment) and creating weakness or exacerbating small cracks until walls crumble and the torrent of erosion tears away foundation upon foundation.  The TSA attacks  Article IV and the Fourth Amendment, breaching the wall that protects our individual privacy and prevents unreasonable search and seizure.  Unrestrained, the government is now attacking the states…the equivalent of mowing down the trees in the watershed to allow the flood to innundate the nation.

It is indeed the watershed moment for our Country, and we are right in the middle of it, called to protect and defend.

Patriots must start to build an Ark, complete with the tools to rise above the flood, to triage the nick points, to protect ourselves from fire, and to ensure that the seeds of liberty and our Constitutional Republic grow.  It is an Ark of physical and spiritual protection; constructed with a framework of Constitutional governance, and powered by the light and consciousness of the many.
